Love Island star engaged to former flame less than a year on from villa stint
Love Island star Tanyel Revan is engaged!
The reality TV star announced the happy news on social media on Wednesday night, with the romantic proposal from her boyfriend taking place just ten months on from the newly-engaged star appearing on the ITV2 series.
After failing to find love in the villa earlier this year, Tanyel reunited with her former boyfriend - and now-fiance- Ediz, 31. Love Island fans were shocked to see the reality TV star, 27, announcing she had found her "soulmate" just months on from looking for love on national TV.
Ediz recently popped the question to Tanyel during a trip to Turkey, with Tanyel sharing a video of the romantic proposal with her fans on Instagram on Wednesday. She captioned the sweet montage of the moment her future husband got down on one knee: "I said YES to marrying my best friend and soul mate. It was always you."
The Love Island star's proposal was caught on cameraTanyel's fellow former Islander Ron Hall was one of the first comment on the announcement, writing: "Could not be happier for you both, you deserve all the happiness in the world! Congratulations!! Bring on the celebrations." Lana Jenkins added: "TANYEL this video love you so much you deserve the world so happy for you. Also can we talk about how absolutely breathtaking you look."

Speaking to The Sun, Tanyel admitted she had a feeling Ediz was about to propose when they book a romantic yacht trip during their romantic break in Turkey so dressed up for the occasion. Musing on her new relationship status, she added: "It was crazy. I feel like this is the quickest that anyone has gotten engaged after Love Island. It’s very mad, but it’s really exciting.

The clarity is so good, it’s amazing. I am over the moon. I feel like it’s natural. I felt it was coming, I knew it was time for it to come. When you know you know. There's no way I could’ve been with anyone else."
During her time on Love Island at the start of this year, Tanyel had her fair shares of ups and downs, coupling up with eventual winner Kai Fagan at one point before embarking on a friendship couple with Ron Hall. Speaking about her engagement, Tanyel admitted Lana and Ron were two of the first people she spoke to after Ediz popped the question - revealing the pair were "over the moon" to here her happy news.
The newly-engaged star went on to reveal how she and her future husband are looking at wedding venues in Turkey and Italy and plan to tie the knot next year. Tanyel added she wants her special day to be "very intimate" but a couple of her fellow Love Island stars will be invited.
