The National Lottery is on a mission to find the lucky holder of a winning ticket worth £1million.

The EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker ticket, which could instantly transform someone into a millionaire, remains unclaimed since the draw on October 31.

North Lanarkshire residents are being urged to double-check their tickets, especially the unique code printed on each one. The winning code for the October 31, 2023 draw was VCVX 86421 and the fortunate ticket-holder has until April 28, 2024 to claim their prize.

Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery, said: "If you bought a EuroMillions ticket in North Lanarkshire for the draw on October 31, it's time to look everywhere - in the pockets of clothes you might have been wearing at the time, bags, in the car, wallets and purses and in that sideboard or drawer where we all tend to put bits and pieces - and check your tickets."

Even if you've lost your ticket but believe you have a genuine claim, you can still make a claim in writing to Camelot within 30 days of the draw.

"Do you live or work in this area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting or were you just passing through? We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and pay out their life-changing prize - imagine the possibilities for them. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."

"To try to jog EuroMillions players' memories. Tthe draw fell on Halloween - were you out with the kids trick or treating? Elsewhere, interested football fans may remember that North Lanarkshire Scottish Premiership side, Motherwell, were in league action on the day after the draw - on 1 November - unfortunately falling to a 4-2 defeat to Aberdeen at Fir Park."

Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.

If the winning ticket isn't claimed before the deadline, the prize money and any interest it has earned will be used to support National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. Every week, players of National Lottery games generate £30M for these projects.

Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. If you think you've won, call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email [email protected].

If you're worried about losing or forgetting to check your tickets, consider setting up a National Lottery Direct Debit or playing online at www.national-lottery.co.uk.
