MAFS fans spot blunder as Ella and JJ dump each other at vow renewals
Married At First Sight fans saw Ella and JJ brutally dump each other at vow renewals - and were quick to ask what exactly they were renewing!
Both got together when they were already married, Ella previously getting hitched to Nathaniel while tattooed JJ left his 'glam girl' wife Bianca after he starting messaging the already-taken blonde. But they didn't actually get married - and have been carrying on as a regular couple throughout the experiment.
Viewers were surprised to see them reaffirming their commitment to one another just like the other married couples but they decided to call it a day instead of renewing the vows they didn't actually take. They were the only pair to call it quits tonight with Peggy and Georges, Tasha and Paul and Matt and Adrienne sticking it out.
Ella and JJ called ended things on Tuesday's show finale (Channel 4)Fans accused E4 bosses of longing it out while some said the vow renewals were the 'worst' part of a dramatic series, which has now come to a close. In emotional scenes, JJ said: "In these past few days I have been forced to ask myself if you are the right woman for me, and if I am the right man for you.
"I think you are amazing, but as things stands I believing becoming friends is the healthiest thing for both of us. You are truly an inspirational person and will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope we can always remain in each others' lives for many years to come"

Ella told him just before: "You are a special human being with a big heart and admire how open minded you are. But it has not been easy - I did feel pressure to be, act and speak in a certain way to to impress you. You are not the most open or forward person, which made me have doubts."
It was an emotional night as we found out who stayed together (Channel 4)She went on: "We shouldn't have to change each other. I also have needs and wants and shouldn't have to settle because someone accepts my transition. You are so special to me and I wanted it to be you but it isn't right now. I'll never forget you and what you've done for me." The pair broke down as they released they were both on the same page.
It was an emotional moment but plenty on social media were quick to point out a big flaw in the series finale. One wrote: "JJ and Ella doing vow renewals without every doing any vows in the first place." Another put: "Why are Ella and JJ renewing vows when they never got 'married' in the first place?"
The series, which is the longest-ever season of MAFS UK, kicked off with 24 brave singles who walked down the aisle and tied the knot having only just met at the altar. The series has been full of drama, with Terence and Porscha quitting the experiment at the second commitment ceremony, while Brad and Shona were asked to leave the process and Luke was removed following an altercation with Jordan, meaning his bride Jay also left.
