Chris Moyles admits he broke a big I'm A Celebrity rule after “sneaking out” of his hotel isolation to go and find Boy George.

The radio DJ was the sixth star eliminated from the ITV jungle last year but he got up to no good before even stepping foot in camp. He wasn’t allowed to leave his house after landing in Australia but was determined to hunt down George and they spoke to each other through a “wire fence”.

He spoke about what happened with the music legend a special guest on his Radio X show this morning. They were chatting ahead of the new series, which begins on Sunday with most of the stars having already touched down ahead of curtain up this weekend.

Chris told his pal: "It is kind of strange I have to say that we're doing this two nights before. We know what they're going through. They're now in their houses isolated from each other, and they have no idea what's about to hit them!" Boy George told him: "Well, if they've got their phones...."

Chris added: "I wonder if any of them have sneaked out.. to say hello to someone else. The very short story is, is the fact that when I was in isolation before I went into the jungle, and then George was in isolation a few days after me. I worked out where George's house was going to be and where he's going to be staying.... and you weren't allowed to leave. So obviously, one day I sneaked out..."

The singer said: "The wire fence.. it was like Hollyoaks!" Laughing, Chris went on: "I found George and I walked past and I tried to get his attention but he couldn't hear me. So I kept walking and I stepped back and I'm like, " George, Sadie " because he had Sadie with him and then I just hear Sadie go "George it's Chris" and he gets out he goes, "oh my god ". And we were literally like through wire… through a wire fence talking to each other. Well, you alright.. yeah you good?"

It wasn't the only no-no that year. In his exit interview, Chris said: "Everybody in camp has become some kind of Jason Bourne kleptomaniac. So when you go to do a trial or a challenge, you have to leave camp and you walk down, up and down a myriad of steps to the jungle and then there's the rope bridge.

"And then the challenges are in different places. So we all made it a mission to steal whatever we possibly could try and get it back. When I did the trial with Owen yesterday with the crane and all of that business, I managed to steal two and a half packets of biscuits, you know the ones that you get in hotels were two biscuits.

"But yeah, I managed to get them so I did that entire task with a crane getting electrocuted, but hanging on to the biscuits at all costs." Moyles then said he broke the biscuits up and tried to hide them in the dunny for people to eat - but they were quickly confiscated by bosses.
