The father of Jonathan Lewis Jr.,17, who succumbed to his injuries in the hospital last week after 15 kids beat him to death on November 1, said he can't possibly watch the footage, unable to witness the delinquents murder his son.

Jonathan Lewis Jr died at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas last week, his death came six days following a brutal beating from 15 other kids.

As a video of the altercation surfaced, and went viral, on social media, the teen's father Jonathan Lewis Sr. said he "can't watch the video of my son beaten to death, no."

The Metropolitan Police Department hasn't confirmed the viral video depicting a herd of raging teens stomping and viciously attacking the teen from Rancho High School is the November 1 crime. Lewis Sr. says otherwise. The grieving father has no choice but to wait for an update from local police or the Clark County Coroner, neither has done so or even confirmed Lewis Jr.'s death.

“The LVMPD is actively investigating this incident and an update will be provided when available,” Officer Luis Vidal said. Police issued a press release after the incident stating the victim, who they say was a juvenile, had suffered life-threatening injuries after he was cornered by about 15 people, according to the .

Social media, police say, has added further complicated the situation. Vidal said Metro police were aware of a graphic video but pulled a public relations stunt, declining to confirm whether he was referring to the video that Lewis Sr. suspects shows his son's brutal murder. The comments are the problem. Because the video shows a group of Black youngsters involved in the fight, some of the comments about the incident have steered toward racism.

“Yes I think it’s a disgrace to my son’s memory and completely condemn it,” Lewis Sr., who lives in Austin, Texas, said about the racial comments on social media. The video is hard to make out. It shows a clamorous mob stomping and assaulting an apparent person on the ground who's difficult to see.

The video, which depicts a chaotic scene in which a mob of teens stomps on and attacks a person on the ground — he is difficult to see among the mob — is reminiscent of another disturbing video of teens dispensing violence: the Aug. 14 alleged hit-and-run killing of retired Southern California police chief Andreas Probst.

One youngster is driving while another is filming as they approach a cyclist later identified as Probst in northwest Las Vegas. As they both chuckle, the motorist drives toward Probst and hits him from behind, knocking him over. Probst was assassinated. Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 17, are both charged with murder.
