Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel recreate wedding after show drama
Dick and Angel Strawbridge have decided to celebrate their 13th anniversary with a throwback moment during a romantic trip to the medieval French city of Vitre, much to the excitement of their devout fanbase.
The Escape to the Chateau stars took to Instagram on Monday to share a carrousel of photos of their special getaway, including a smiling selfie of the adorable couple on one of the Italian city's charming side streets.
"Love and rabbit stew are in the air!" they captioned the post, which has since liked more than 15k times. "It’s hard to believe that it was only 13 years ago we met and fell in love." The TV pair, who are best known for their Channel 4 reality show, also shared a photo of their introduction at a dinner party in London. "Our friend Will was sat/stuck in the middle of us and we still giggle at this picture, as he is named our gooseberry!"

Angel and Dick were the first ever couple to tied the knot at the stunning Chateau De La Motte Husson in 2015 and have since hosted dozens of weddings there.
"Getting ready for our wedding was frantic because we needed to install the basics - namely, water electricity, sewage and heating - as well as getting some rooms looking elegant," Dick said in 2016. "Somehow, we managed it and had a ball. However, Angel raised the bar in lots of areas before she was happy to host our first wedding here."

The eccentric couple also revealed in their latest Instagram update that they are marking their anniversary by recreating their wedding meal. "To celebrate, we will be do the same tonight and the smell coming from the kitchen as the entire family gets involved is wonderful!" they said, before revealing the real reason they trotted off for a secret escape before the big event. "But on Friday, because we knew how busy this week would be, we snuck off to the charming town called Vitrè (pictured) and had a romantic 24 hours…or 25 as Arthur just reminded us!"
In a past interview with HELLO!, Angel revealed that she and Dick were wiped out by the preparations for their wedding at the 19th century castle. "We were engulfed with exhaustion," she admitted. "It was the first time I'd had a bath and I had a little sob. We'd been working 18, 20 or 22 hours a day and were flying high on adrenaline and couldn't lose our focus. Most of the house wasn't done."
