Magician Dynamo is set to perform one of his most dangerous stunts yet as he gets buried alive.

The TV star has mystified fans all over the world with his extreme stunts. He has walked on water, levitated above London's tallest building The Shard as squeezed between a tiny gap on the America and Mexico border. Yet Dynamo, real name Steven Frayne, will take his dangerous stunts one step further.

The 40-year-old is marking his return to TV by being 'killed'. Dynamo took to his social media to tease the upcoming performance as he said: "Are you watching closely?" He shuffled a deck of cards that revealed some of his most notorious illusions. He said: "Dynamo allowed me to soar to impossible heights, to walk on water, to break barriers.

"But the greatest trick he ever pulled was convincing the world I didn’t exist. So what happens when he vanishes? If I’m not Dynamo, who am I? To do something I’ve never done, I need to become someone I’ve never been – Myself." As the screen shattered, he warned: "Time for the next act."

The show will see Dynamo "killed by his creator" and will see him "defy the odds and beyond magic – burying himself alive." The teaser for the programme read: "Viewers will be left on the edge of their seats as they buckle up and prepare to watch Dynamo put his life on the line.

"Dynamo will dig his own grave in preparation for his perilous and climactic feat six feet under, which will culminate in him laying Dynamo rest." The magician will explore a journey of loss and hope in the show. It will see him lose his identity before beginning the next phase of his career.

The magician has previously opened up on his battle with Crohn's disease, which he was diagnosed with as a teenager. He was forced to have half his stomach removed at just 17-years-old. The incurable condition causes inflammation to the stomach lining, and a host of other painful side effects.

Revealing he wakes up in 'excruciating pain' nearly every day, Dynamo said he manages the condition by banning gluten, dairy, fat and vegetables from his diet. “Having Crohn ’s is a trial but I am determined not to let it hold me back," he previously told the Mirror. “If you’ve got Crohn’s then you just have to get on with it, deal with the negative things that come with it, and not let it change the happiness in your life. You can’t help it; it’s what it is.

“It’s more about affecting the comfort levels of your life. It can be incredibly restrictive, and I know some people with it who can’t even leave the house. And that is so sad.” Dynamo added that he first nearly had a colostomy bag when he was just a teenager. And it was only by luck that he didn’t.

He said: "There was a time my life when I had to have an operation and I nearly died in hospital, and one of the options was to give me a colostomy bag. I was only 18 and at that age it would have been awful, I couldn’t have got my head space around it, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. Whereas now if it has to happen, it has to happen. And I might well need a bag one day."

Dynamo took a hiatus from his television stunts after his show Dynamo: Magician Impossible ran from 2011 to 2014. He admitted he "lost a bit of passion for it" and felt like a "performing monkey". The magician embarked on a live tour, but is set to make an epic return to TV next month.

Dynamo is Dead will air live at 9pm on Sky Max and streaming service NOW on 14 December in the UK .
