Britney Spears takes ruthless swipe at Jamie Lynn over I'm A Celebrity stint
Britney Spears appeared to hit out at her younger sister Jamie Lynn in a cryptic post after it was confirmed the actress had signed up to I'm A Celebrity.
The Toxic hit maker revealed in her memoir The Woman in Me that she felt "betrayed" by her family, including her sister, when she fought to end her conservatorship. Jamie Lynn failed to mention her famous sister in the promo video for this year's I'm A Celebrity and many fans believe a cryptic post by Britney is now aimed at her younger sibling.
She posted an Ernest Hemingway quote, which read: "All things truly wicked start from innocence," and captioned it with a pink flower emoji. One follower commented: "Your sister for example!! She’s about to go in the Jungle and us Brits are RUTHLESS.. we’ve got your back hun." Another posted: "Hi Brittany I hope you enjoy Jamie Lynn suffering on I’m A Celeb I’ll definitely be putting my votes on her to do EVERY bush tucker trail."
Writing in her memoir, Britney addressed the conservatorship being suspended in November 2021: "I was left with so many emotions: shock, relief, elation, sadness, joy. I felt betrayed by my father, and sadly, by the rest of my family, too. My sister and I should have found comfort in each other, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case."

She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous." However, she went on to reveal her hopes for a new relationship with her sister, she added: "She will always be my sister, and I love her and her beautiful family. I’m working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me."

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn shared her motivation for signing up to the reality series. She said: “There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously.
“But I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime.
“I think my best quality is the fact that it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. Unless you are my children or my immediate family, nothing is going to hurt me. I can take a lot of sh*t and it doesn’t get me down, so I really think it’s a good quality to have in a place where a lot of stuff is thrown at you!”
