Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's celebrity pals may remain friends with them, but it's unlikely they'll cut ties with the Royal Family.

Many of the Sussexes celebrity friends have been around since the start of their relationship, with the friendship blossoming during their marriage. For example, after Harry and Meghan tied the knot, their Hollywood pal George Clooney and his wife Amal invited the couple to their home in Lake Como, offering their private jet by means of transport.

Idris Elba attended their wedding in 2018 with his wife Sabrina, and was even DJ at the reception, where he claims Meghan "let loose" on the dance floor as he played some tunes. Moreover, the Sussexes Montecito neighbours Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have proved to be good pals of the couple, despite Meghan and Katy starting off on the wrong foot.

Orlando praised Harry and his relationship with the royal and recently attended his wife's Las Vegas concert with the pair. However, their friends still have strong ties to the rest of the Royal Family and their charitable endeavours that they won't break.

Katy performed at the King's Coronation earlier this year as a member of the Prince's Trust. She also took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes details of her performance and outfit, which suggested she's a fan of the monarch.

George and Amal don't seem to have taken sides in the royal debate, but turned out in support of King Charles III at a Prince's Trust event in London in May. Similarly, Idris has maintained ties with King Charles and was pictured chatting happily with the King at a reception for African business leaders at Chapel Barracks in London. He is also a goodwill ambassador for the Prince's Trust, Charles's charity.

Meghan's close friendship with former British Vogue editor Edward Enniful didn't stop him from praising the King as he penned the monarch's entry in 100 Most Influential People of 2023 list. He described him as "charming, funny and kind" and has continued to have strong ties with the King's charity after he was made global ambassador for the Prince's Trust Group in 2021.

Meghan was also said to have a friendship with Victoria Beckham shortly after she moved to the UK and while she was living at Frogmore Cottage. Victoria and her husband David, who has always had a bond with Harry, hosted Meghan in their six-bedroom house in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles before the royal wedding.

Things turned salty between Harry and Meghan and their friends, Victoria and David Beckham after tensions rose when the couple had a suspicion that the Beckhams leaked stories about Meghan's help from Victoria to the press - a claim the former Spice Girl denied and left David reportedly feeling "absolutely bloody furious."

A source close to the Beckhams told the Mail on Sunday: "David and Victoria went to Meghan and Harry's wedding and were very supportive when Meghan arrived in the UK." The source added: "Any making up now is so unlikely."
