Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left reeling after the leaked spoiler revealed who was in the bottom two.

Tonight, the remaining eight contestants took to the dancefloor in the hope of securing a place at Blackpool next week. If they make it through this week, they will get a chance to wow a huge live audience at the iconic Tower Ballroom.

During tonight's Strictly spectacular, there were some big performances including from Angela Rippon and Kai danced a Paso Doble to Hung Up by Madonna whilst Angela Scanlon and Carlos did a Waltz to With You I’m Born Again by Billy Preston & Syreeta.

Annabel and Johannes returned from their emotional performance last week with a spicy Samba to Whenever, Wherever by Shakira whilst Bobby and Dianne did an American Smooth to Ghost of You by 5 Seconds of Summer. Ellie and Vito - amid rumours they are an official couple now - danced a romantic Rumba to True Colours by Cyndi Lauper.

Krishnan and Lauren did a Samba to Bamboléo by Gipsy Kings whilst Layton and Nikita performed an Argentine Tango to Tattoo by Loreen. Nigel and Katya performed their Couple’s Choice to Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars.

Layton and Nikita found themselves at the top of the leaderboard with a near perfect score of 39 out of 40 whilst Krishnan Guru Murthy was at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 25 points out of 40. However, it was all to play for as that was just down to the judges and the public still had to cast their votes before the exit scenes are filmed late Saturday evening.

The result from the dance-off has now been leaked online, and fans have been left fuming. Responding to the news, one wrote: "Gutted. Devastated xXx," whilst a second added: "Damn I voted to save them! Such a shame! #StrictlySpoiler." The Mirror has chosen not to reveal who the unlucky person who has left just a few days before the stars head to Blackpool's Tower ballroom.

The results show - which is always aired on the BBC on a Sunday evening - is actually filmed on Saturday night after the live show has aired. Whilst the hosts and judges change clothes, the show is filmed the same evening and everyone has the Sunday night off before rehearsals start again on the Monday. Next week, it will, of course, be all to play for when the stars head to Blackpool.
