Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham is back to selling pens but admitted he has “never been happier”.

The 31-year-old won the ITV2 dating show in 2018 with then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, and the couple split the £50,000 cash prize after they were crowned winners. Before entering the villa, Jack worked at AJ Office Supplies in London selling pens, and now, he’s back at the firm after confessing he’s been on a downward spiral since he shot to stardom more than four years ago.

The reality TV star had hit the headlines over the past year, as it emerged he had been involved in a series of arrests for driving under the influence of drugs, and recently completed a secret stint in rehab to get his life back under control. He was given a 36-month driving ban and given 60 hours' community service in October after admitting two counts of drug-driving, and told The Sun he had a “purpose” again.

He reflected on his life since winning Love Island in an interview with The Sun, and said not having to worry about money enabled him to quit his job and enjoy the showbiz lifestyle. But he wasn’t able to handle his finances correctly, and admitted he has “been gradually falling to pieces since 2018… then the money ran out.”

Jack said he had been taking drugs since before being on Love Island, and has been clean since August - the longest he’s been without drugs since he was in the Love Island villa back in 2018. His addiction not only cost him his money and his TV career - as offers dried up due to his drug use - but his relationship with Dani as well, as the couple parted ways in 2019.

Now, Jack’s a changed man, and he admitted having a routine has made him “so happy”. The former reality TV star is working as an account manager, dealing with big name clients, and said he was in the process of “building myself up”. He added: “I'm trying to get myself back on top.”

Jack said it was “amazing” being back working with the same people he knew when he was 17 at AJ Office Supplies, and now, he’s “excited for the future”. He candidly revealed he was “worried about people thinking I’m a failure”, and hopes to get back into TV one day in the future. “I want to have one of the biggest stationary companies in the whole of the UK one day,” he gleefully shared.

At his lowest point, Jack was taking at least 30 diazepam pills a day, and he emotionally admitted he was close to death. “If I had carried on how I was, even up to six months ago, I would definitely be dead. Without a shadow of a doubt,” he heartbreakingly shared.
