Noel Gallagher and Sara's divorce settlement sees her 'rake in millions'

Noel Gallagher's ex-wife Sara MacDonald is reportedly set to receive millions after the former couple finalised their divorce.

It comes less than a year after they made the decision to call it quits after being together for 22 years and after being married since 2011. Noel, 56, and Sara married just two years after he and his Oasis bandmates disbanded.

At the time of his and Sara's split, Noel moved out of their family home in Hampshire and relocated to north London – near his brother, Liam, whom he has been at loggerheads with since 2009. Now, sources claim that Sara could be ready to receive millions, as well as their shared family home in Hampshire.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "They've deliberately done things quietly and behind closed doors, avoiding any sort of public battle, and they've got the resources to do that. But it'll be a huge relief to both of them to finally have a deal agreed. By the end, they really just communicated via lawyers.

"But they both seemed to want to celebrate afterwards so it seems as though both sides are happy enough. They've both been determined to retain great relationships with their kids."

Noel's representatives declined to comment when contacted by the Mirror. In January this year, a spokesperson for Noel told the Mirror that the singer and Sara were in fact divorcing but their two children, Donovan and Sonny were their priority. In a statement, they said: "A spokesperson on behalf of Noel Gallagher and Sara Macdonald has confirmed that the couple are to divorce. Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority. They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."

Their decision to split was a shock to fans as they had previously enjoyed a holiday with one another in Formentera just a year prior to the announcement. Speaking about his divorce, Noel said he was trying not to "overthink" things. He said: "I don't overthink. Things happen and you move on. I've always been like, 'The good times aren’t going to last that long, so make the most of them.' And the bad times aren't going to last that long either, you just go along, and you're cruising, and the good bits are the bits that you enjoy – whether it's up or down, or you're just existing and it's calm."

He added: "I had that for about 20-odd years until recently, and yeah, it’s been good, I enjoyed it."
