Hannah Waddingham is reported to have enjoyed a secret romance with singing sensation Alfie Boe over the summer.

Ted Lasso star Hannah, 49, and musical tenor Alfie, 50, are said to have spent time together while she hosted the Eurovision Song Contest this year. However, their romance is said to have been brief, as it has been reported they are no longer an item.

Actress Hannah, who appears in two Christmas adverts this festive season, are said to have began quietly meeting up at the end of last year – but their romance fizzled out. However, it has been claimed the pair remain on 'friendly terms'.

A source claimed: "Hannah and Alfie have moved in similar circles for years, but both had partners at different times.

"Towards the end of last year they went on a couple of dinners at places like Scott’s in Richmond — where Ted Lasso is set," they told The Sun. The pair's romance continued while Hannah's career began to take on an exciting new turn – as she hosted Eurovision and other projects – and she was said to be "keen to let her work, not personal life, do the talking".

Hannah and Alfie reportedly decided to keep their romance quiet, which proved tricky when she hosted Eurovision earlier this year, with some claiming she 'stole the show'. But, Alfie was reportedly 'snuck backstage' in a bid to keep their relationship 'low key'.

After some months of dating, however, things reportedly 'fizzled out' between the pair – but they are said to 'remain on friendly terms'.

Since the end of their romanced Hannah's profile has continued to grow, with her appearing in the Marks & Spencer Christmas advert – although the campaign has caused a stir as some criticised it for 'failing to keep festive spirit alive' while an outtake from the commercial shared on social media sparked huge backlash.

Sex Education star Hannah said of filming the campaign: "I love the build up to Christmas and all the magic and sparkle that comes with it! If I'm perfectly honest, I'd be happy to start it all in November! Getting glammed up and spending time with loved ones and family is something I look forward to the most, so filming this campaign really got me in the festive spirit.

"M&S is always my go-to destination for picking up Christmas gifts and let's not forget the foooood!......so being involved in the campaign has been so special and a great pleasure."

Meanwhile, Hannah also stars in the Baileys Christmas advert. The Emmy Award winning actress Hannah takes on the role of conductor for band The Gold Vocal Collective in the festive advert.

Speaking on the campaign, Hannah Waddingham commented: "Christmas is my favourite part of year; a time to get together with my friends and family and indulge in our own festive traditions. From nights out with friends to the much-needed catch ups with family around the kitchen table, with spontaneous cocktails to cosy evenings by the fire, it’s a time to break away from the routine and enjoy all the festive fun….Who better to partner with for Christmas than the most festive adult treat – Baileys!"
