Big Brother's Chanelle and Trish clash over 'cold shoulder' ahead of eviction

Big Brother housemate Chanelle attempts to try and quash the tension between her and fellow housemate Trish ahead of the ITV2 show's double eviction.

Tension has been at breaking point between the pair following Chanelle's recent rule break which saw Trish avoid the dental therapist in the house. In a bid to address the awkward vibe, Chanelle pulls Trish to one side and says: "Trish, do you want to come and have a convo?" The pair then head upstairs and sit down in an attempt to try and clear the air. Chanelle says: "Obviously you’ve been chatting to everyone else in the house and ignoring me, giving me the cold shoulder."

And in response to Chanelle's obvious discomfort, Trish says: "I wouldn’t have called it the cold shoulder. For me, it was like ‘ok I don’t need to make an effort with everybody anymore’ and I also don’t want to feel like I’m connecting with people who do not like me." Trish then added: "The reason why you probably felt the brunt of it the strongest, for me hearing that, was very much it can only be aimed at me."

Chanelle then says: "Please don’t think that me not saying nothing or just going about my day as if I don’t care. Underneath the make-up, I have been breaking my heart over in the diary room and in bed." Chanelle and Trish are among other housemates including Jenkin, Olivia and Noky, who are up for the double eviction in tonight's show. In just one week viewers of the ITV2 reboot of Big Brother will find out which housemate is set to walk away with the cash prize of £100,000 and crowned winner of the series.

On Friday, November 17, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will announce the winner of the reality TV show after 40 days in the house. The live final will start at 9 pm and will run for an hour and a half, finishing at 10.30 pm. Drama in the house was to be expected with the first reboot series of the show as historically Big Brother is known for arguments, fights and relationships.

But no one expected there to be more than 1,000 Ofcom complaints over concerns from fans that some of the housemates were being bullied. Viewers saw Trish call Paul out for being a bully. This came after housemate Yinrun had passed Big Brother's secret mission and was rewarded with a party but she was only able to choose six people – and Paul among others was left out.

Taking it upon himself to ruin her party as he wasn't invited, he started to throw balls of cling film and then turned his attention towards Noky, calling her weird. At one point he asked her what she was staring at and went on to say: "You’re strange, you just stare at me and don’t say a word. Weird." Trish then returned to the party, and Noky filled her in on the bitter interaction. In a bid to stand up for her pal and housemate, Trish hit out at Paul and said: "You are a bully." Paul then asks her "Why am I a bully?" And Trish told him: "You know why you’re a bully, don’t act stupid."

Paul was then forced to acknowledge his treatment towards Noky and Trish then said: "So you know? So you know who you’ve been bullying? You are a bully." This cruel interaction generated 97 complaints after Big Brother's live feed was pulled due to the explosive row. Noky was seen breaking down in tears as she claimed that the security officer had made it a mission to constantly target her – and this forced fans to demand that production bosses step in.
