A self-styled cyborg woman has been named the world's most technologically implanted human after choosing to have 52 metal chips inserted into her body.

Anastasia Synn, a stunt and magic performer, has chosen to implant the electronic chips into her body - allowing her to do everything from open locks, find metal objects, call phone numbers, and perform magic tricks - with one chip in her hand even offering a vibrate function.

Canadian-born Synn, who lives in California, claims the chips in her body make her life easier, having had them implanted everywhere from wrists, chest, arms and ears. The 48-year-old said: 'I can officially announce that I'm the world's most technologically implanted human! Since it's a first, they had to create a new record category."

One of her insertions includes the largest magnet ever implanted into a person, as well as a sound-transmitting magnet implanted into the tragus of her ear. Synn adds: "The largest is two and a half inches across and half an inch thick and its twin is in the other arm."

Others include a chip in her hand to open the front door of her home, as well as dozens of microchips, which she programs to give herself heightened senses and abilities, such as opening locks and turning on computers. Some are magnetic and give her a 'sixth sense', such as feeling live wires behind a wall and whether or not a transformer or power box is receiving power.

Synn says her bizarre powers stretch to being able to tell if someones microwave is leaking radiation as it triggers a chip in her hand to vibrate. She adds how magnetic chips have come in handy for finding missing items, such as lost earring backs. The practicalities also stretch to calling loved ones, including one in her left wrist to call her daughter and one in her right wrist to call her husband.

To become the record holder, Synn had to provide a list of what each chip does and have an X-ray to show they were there and demonstrate their functionality. But despite reaching record-holder status, Synn says she plans on having more inserts to her body, including a a near-field communication (NFC) scanner in her leg and NFC tags inside playing cards, which would mean during a game of poker, she'd be able to run the cards over her leg to read them with her eyes closed without other players knowing what was going on.

She added: "The computer would scan the card and know it was the queen of hearts, send that information to my phone via Bluetooth which would then send that information to the Bluetooth hair piece that would vibrate the magnets in my ears."
