Chocolate lovers across the country were left devastated this week when Nestle announced it had made the "difficult decision" to cease production of the iconic Caramac bar, 64 years after it first hit shelves. The confectionery company claimed the decision was made due to "low performance", and in an update today, they also announced they would be discontinuing the Animal Bar for the same reason.

The beloved caramel-flavoured Caramac will start to disappear from supermarket shelves over the coming weeks and months as stock diminishes and no new bars are produced. So, if you want to get your hands on one before they're gone forever, you'll have to be quick, as supplies will soon start to dwindle. Here are all the shops still advertising Caramacs on their websites.

Iceland

Iceland is currently one of the only major retailers that still have some Caramac bars in stock on their website. The supermarket is selling the three-bar multipacks for £1.25 each, and as of the time of writing, you can still add them to your basket to buy today. Stock in specific stores may vary, however.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's usually sells individual Caramac bars for 75p each, but on their website, the product is currently out of stock. This doesn't necessarily mean that every Sainsbury's in the country is out of Caramacs though, and it's worth checking your local store to see if they still have a couple. It's also currently unclear whether Nestle have put a stop to the production of new bars immediately, so there's always a chance stock could be replenished once or twice before they're gone for good.

Asda

Fellow supermarket Asda was also selling three-bar multipacks of Caramacs, as well as Caramac giant buttons, but as of the time of writing both of these products are listed as "unavailable" on the website. Much like with Sainsbury's though, it's worth popping down to your nearest supermarket to see what they have in person.

Other retailers

It's always worth checking your local corner shops and smaller retailers such as Spar and the Co-Op, as stock may vary from shop to shop depending on what demand looks like in your area. There are also eBay listings for Caramac bars if you're really desperate, but these are already seeing a huge spike in price - such as this listing that's selling a pack of three bars for a staggering £15.
