Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for its all-new festive special, Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas. Recorded live at The Coliseum in London, the one-hour event will feature Emmy-winning Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham ringing in the season with performances of beloved Christmas songs.

Waddingham will be joined by a series of special guests, including Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr., Eurovision singer Sam Ryder, actor Luke Evans and several Ted Lasso stars. Other performers include the English National Opera, the London Gay Men’s Chorus, The Fabulous Lounge Swingers and an 18-piece band.

Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas will premiere on Wednesday, November 22. Fans can stream the special with a subscription to Apple TV+, which usually costs £8.99 a month and includes access to hit shows like the upcoming Godzilla spin-off Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and season three of Slow Horses.

Currys are currently giving customers five months of Apple TV+ for free with any purchase – whether that’s a discounted TV, a new iPhone or a simple USB cable. Sky is also giving away Apple TV+ with its packages, which currently include an amazing entertainment bundle with Sky Stream, Sky TV, Netflix and six months of free Apple TV+ for its “lowest price” of £19 a month.

This Black Friday deal means bargain hunters can pocket a £126 saving over the 18-month term and have access to premium Sky channels like Sky Atlantic, Sky Max and Sky Documentaries, plus all the most-talked-about new shows on Netflix and Apple TV+. Apple has also announced a companion album will launch on the same date, to be available on all streaming platforms including Amazon Music Prime.

The newly released trailer confirms the special will include a Ted Lasso reunion, as Waddingham is joined by her co-stars Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed. Throughout Home for Christmas, Hannah will also share her personal journey to the festive extravaganza with anecdotes and memories about her own festive experiences.

The Eurovision host – who currently stars in Baileys’ Christmas advert – has previously wowed audiences with her impressive vocal talents. Ted Lasso’s season two Christmas episode saw her perform sixties’ classic Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) with the show’s titular football coach.

She then went on to perform the song alongside Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. Waddingham has promised her Christmas special will be an “epic” occasion.

Speaking to Inside The Film Room earlier this year, she said: “Apple don’t do things by halves, it’s going to be pretty bloomin’ epic.”

Join Apple TV+ to stream Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas. Other festive films and shows are available on Amazon’s Prime Video and Disney+.
