Robbie Williams slams 'weird' fans after being asked for 'bizarre' toilet snaps

Robbie Williams has hit out at some fans for requesting 'weird' photographs of himself in the toilet.

The chart-topping hitmaker took to social media with a long expletive-filled rant about 'bizarre' situations he finds himself in due to fame. The Angels singer insisted he wasn't being ungrateful after slamming the loyal followers.

He explained the strange scenarios usually happen when he's out at a bar or restaurant, revealing awkwardness when engaging in 'natural' conversation in the bathroom. Penning a long rant on Instagram, Robbie wrote: "When I'm out at a restaurant or a bar going to the toilet is weird. Because that's the only time I'm by myself.

"Some people sense this as the big opportunity. The amount of times I've turned around from the urinal to find someone that needed to visit the toilet to wash their hands. Their hands! No p**s, just a quick hand wash. Cos that happens in real life and isn't suspicious. I will then wash my hands next to the person "washing" theirs and have to partake in a striking up of a 'natural' conversation. Small talk whilst tucking your smalls in.

"They establish they know who I am by asking a Robbie-based question. Usually "what are you doing here then Robbie?" Well mate, I just had a p**s and now I'm washing my hands. What are you doing? Then the most awkward thing about this whole charade happens. The man will put his wet hand out to shake my wet hand. I always offer my elbow. As to sort of "cheers" to their elbow. Then they ask for a photo. Which is always a bleak request. I don’t want to do a photo with you in the bogs. Someone filmed me when I was at the urinal once. That was interesting."

He said after leaving the loos he'd normally bump into someone else coming out the female bathrooms, "not by coincidence". Robbie added: "Most people are taking these written accounts for what they are. My observations on my bizarre life. Some people read them and think I'm being ungrateful. I'm not. I’d sign up for this life a trillion times over. But sometimes I'm just a man with his c**k in his hand wondering what is about to greet him when he turns around from the urinal."

Fans flocked to the musician's comments, with some telling him off for "moaning", with one posting: "Stop fekin moaning ! You can’t have fame , money , privileges and the lot without going to the loo and people wanting to shake your hand."

While another said: "The best story yet Robbie! I don’t know how people can be so cringe-worthy!! I do actually feel a bit sorry for you." A third penned: "I met you once in a news agents in St John’s Wood when you lived in the area. I was buying a lottery ticket and you said if I won, would I share it with you. I laughed and said yes. I knew who you were and just respected you were just out and about like myself. Still waiting for the big win. Will let you know."

It comes after Robbie's wife Ayda Field said she is feeling "vulnerable" as the phone call that ended their romance is revealed in his new Netflix documentary. The 44-year-old took to her Instagram page to share a video where she spoke to her followers about being nervous for her husband's new show to be released.

In the series, the pair speak out about a phone call which ended the couple's relationship. She explains that the former Take That star called her one morning shortly before his 33rd birthday admitting his team was sending him to rehab.

Explaining the heartbreaking phone call, Ayda said: "I remember it was 2am and I called him and I was like, 'I am just getting on the highway' and he's like, 'Are you driving? Call me when you get home.' And he is like, 'I can't be in a relationship, I have to get better and I can't be with you. I have to break up with you."

Ayda added: "And it was like, I understood it because I saw that he was unwell and I remember thinking, 'I just want you to get better.'" She also admitted she was "so crestfallen" adding: "He was my soulmate and then he was gone." The pair later rekindled and married.
