Wilder suggests Ngannou fight is proof Tyson Fury cheated in their trilogy
Deontay Wilder has suggested Tyson Fury 's fight with Francis Ngannou has proved the Brit cheated in their trilogy.
Wilder has made several baseless claims that heavyweight champion Fury cheated when he knocked him out to win the world title in their second fight. 'The Bronze Bomber' believes that Fury tampered with his gloves prior to the bout, having also claimed that his water was spiked, his coach Mark Breland threw in the towel early and that his entrance outfit was too heavy.
“I didn’t even get to watch the fight,” Wilder said of Fury vs Ngannou to Blue Blood Sports TV. "I had a lot of texts and people calling me about it, especially when he got dropped. After the fight a lot of people were figuring out what was going on, ‘Maybe he did cheat [in your fight], maybe he did have something in his gloves.

"All these things are coming up now. Everybody’s saying he lost and, ‘Deontay we need you back,’ and how boring boxing is, the heavyweight division is crumbling and falling. I’m coming.” Wilder hasn't fought since knocking out Robert Helenius over a year ago but has been pushing for a fight against Anthony Joshua in recent months.
Deontay Wilder offers advice to Manny Pacquiao's son ahead of latest fight“I just don't know what's up with Joshua. Maybe I'm gonna have to go to England and sit down with him on some real man s***… I don't want him to feel like I have anything against him, but I know he's afraid of me. Joshua, me and you is the biggest fight in the world bro, what are you doing? I really wanna talk to that dude," Wilder said.
Wilder said a fight with Joshua was almost agreed on for December 23 in Saudi Arabia, but talks broke down at the last minute. The American has since opened the door for a potential fight against Ngannou in a ring or cage, as the former UFC champion claimed Wilder has been training MMA in secret for the past few months.
" He’s really serious about MMA. I know a lot of people talk, ‘Oh, I’m going to do this in boxing and do that in MMA but I think Deontay Wilder is very interested in MMA, Again, it’s going to be hard. It’s going to be a different beast for him. Unlike this time, that I was the one experiencing climbing the mountain, he’s going to be the one climbing the mountain," Ngannou said of Wilder onThe MMA Hour.
