Tupac Shakur murder suspect Keefe D 'sighs' in court in front of his son

The main suspect in the murder of Tupac Shakur, Keefe D showed a different side of himself in the Las Vegas courtroom on Thursday.

While giving off a cocky attitude since being arrested, and before, the Compton native let his emotions show when he saw his son, Duane Junior, in the courtroom. Keefe D, real name Duane Davis, and his son locked eyes as the hearing finished and the murder suspect was led out of court.

Onlookers said that the blood seemed to drain out of Keefe D's face and he reportedly mumbled: "Hey," to his son before shaking his head and letting out deep sighs as if he couldn't believe his current situation. He wore a navy-coloured prison jumpsuit, handcuffs, and leg shackles. His son wore a dark polo long-sleeve shirt and black jeans as he visited the court to see his father.

Reports claim that Duane Junior said: "F**k," loudly before leaving the courtroom visibly distraught. Duane Junior's mother also attended, who was believed to be Keefe D's wife, Paula, in a blue long-sleeve shirt dress, sparkly UGG boots, big sunglasses, and a blue face mask.

Keefe D faces life in prison if found guilty of murdering Tupac in 1996. Before his confrontation with his son, his hearing lasted about five minutes and set his murder trial date for June 3, 2024. He put in a plea of not guilty last week, but has done many interviews with the media and even wrote a memoir where he detailed his involvement in the shooting.

The now 60-year-old placed himself in the white Cadillac with the shooter on that September night. The car pulled up next to a BMW that Marion "Suge" Knight was driving with Tupac in the passenger seat. Tupac was shot several times and died a week later at the age of 25.

Keefe D placed the blame on his nephew, Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson, but Orlando denied this until his death in 1998. Orlando and Tupac got into a fight at the MGM Grand Hotel, and Keefe D wrote in his 2019 memoir that things got personal after that.

"When conversations would come up about a million dollar bounty on the heads of Suge Knight and Tupac Shakur, that was business. But after Tupac, Suge and them Death Row n***** jumped on my nephew Baby Lane, the s**t became ominously personal," he wrote.
