Love Island inspired dating show sees 'extrovert' singles strip naked for love
A new dating reality TV show from MTV inspired by Love Island is offering a new take on the usual quest for finding love with a 'naked' twist.
The new show, titled 'Dating Naked' will air next year on MTV and the hunt is currently on for "body-confident extroverts" who are keen to mis with other naked singletons for three weeks in an exotic location as they see if they can find love.
The show is expected to be X-rated, with a warning that the contestant's body parts won't be blurred out for modesty and instead the programme is expected to "push the boundaries" for viewers.
A source told The Sun: "This show is really going to push the boundaries. It’s like Naked Attraction meets Love Island — so fans of both series will be in for a treat. Finding love isn’t the only incentive for potential contestants — there will also be a huge cash prize for the winner.
"But the contestants will have to be seriously at one with nature because they’ll be filmed nude for pretty much the entire time they’re on the show."
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and TanyelDating Naked will be filmed next year in February and is expected to be held inside the grounds of a luxury villa. Potential contestants need to be at least 20 years old to apply, but there is no maximum age limit and the only criteria is to show that they're not part of a relationship.
A blurb for the series described it as "a new social experiment provides daters with a radical dating experience where before they bare their souls they bare everything else first."
This isn't the first time the series has been made, as it's previously been made in the USA and Germany and initially started in 2014 and ran for three seasons before being axed. The cheeky series even saw scenes where naked contestants took part in activities including acroyoga, rollerblading and mud-wrestling, whilst totally nude.
The US version in particular sparked controversy after it set up at 69-year-old man with a woman 40 years his junior. The series was later axed in 2017.
Love Island has also gone through a transformation as new series Love Island Games is currently airing on peacock, which sees contestants from past series around the world looking for love in the villa. The series has favourites from past seasons of the UK show including Megan Barton, Curtis Pritchard and Johnny Poole.
