This Morning's famous Spin To Win competition descended into complete chaos on Monday's instalment of the ITV programme before hosts Craig Doyle and Rochelle Humes were forced to call it off completely.

There appeared to be something in the air this morning during the competition as several Spin To Win hopefuls failed to answer their phones with the correct answer, and instead picked up the phone and greeted 'hello' to Craig and Rochelle.

If that wasn't bad enough, the competition took a complete turn for the worst when one caller appeared to moan down the phone - leavening the hosts visibly stunned and speechless before they were forced to abandon the competition.

Rochelle and Craig didn't know where to look when one caller answered the phone and then quickly paused before viewers pointed out 'slapping' noises and moans before they ultimately hung up on the This Morning presenters. Naturally, both Craig and Rochelle looked confused, before Craig decided to break the ice with a light-hearted joke.

"I don’t know what that was, but I liked it," joked Irish presenter Craig, while his co-star Rochelle looked mortified by the unexpected turn of events during the early Monday morning show.

"I don’t know what that was, but shall we just move on," a red-faced and confused Rochelle said as she attempted to get the show back on track before Craig de-railed the show once again as he imitated the unusual noises and joked that he didn't think it was the right password.

In the end, the presenting duo were forced to call off Spin To Win, leaving viewers at home frustrated as callers continuously answered the phone and said 'hello' instead of calling out the answer immediately - as the competition rules go.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, they shared their reactions: "What on God's Green earth was in the air today on This Morning. Complete disaster," one quipped. While someone else echoed: "What the hell was that caller."

"OMG those noises!!!!!! Had to have been a joke," another viewer suggested. "Imagine losing out on a competition to win money all because you say hello instead of saying the answer. Would ruin my day. Silly people," someone else complained.

"What the heck was going on then #ThisMorning," another ITV viewer pondered, and another echoed: "Rochelle was having none of that was she. Craig breaking the ice though."

Elsewhere, other viewers fumed at those who had entered the competition and answered the phone incorrectly. "WHY bother entering the competition then say hello when your phone rings???? #ThisMorning," fumed one, while a second person complained that Rochelle was 'clearly fed up with the way things went'.

This Morning continues tomorrow at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
