KSI's coach offered his sparring partners a £5,000 award if they could knock him out before his fight with Tommy Fury.

The YouTube boxer tasted defeat for the first time when he was beaten by Fury at the Misfits Boxing Prime card in Manchester last month. The fight was underwhelming as Fury labelled his performance as s*** but blamed KSI for holding him instead of boxing. KSI appealed his loss to the Professional Boxing Association, but no action has been taken by the organisation.

Whilst appearing on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, the American said to KSI: "I heard your coach say that your sparring partners would get a bonus if they knocked you out?" KSI then replied: "Yeah, a five grand bonus. Yeah man, it was pretty ridiculous! I heard it only near the end of the camp, so they didn't tell me obviously. 'I was like, 'Jesus Christ, no wonder they're trying to knock my head off.'

KSI trained with professional boxers such as Idris Virgo for the fight as he added: "I wasn't dropping anyone, it's just because of the difference in weight. Big people man, like 200lb plus. It's hard to knock them out, you can daze people but to knock them out... these guys are professionals. I was fighting professional boxers."

The YouTube boxer admitted that he hasn't laced up a pair of gloves since losing to Fury as his boxing future looks bleak. KSI insisted his end goal in the ring was to fight bitter rival Jake Paul, the brother of his former opponent and now business partner Logan, but their careers are heading in different trajectories as Jake already has his next fight booked.

“Right now, I feel like I’ve retired. It’s weird. I haven’t trained since the fight. I’ve kind of just enjoyed my life. It’s weird because I'm like, 'I've got to train the next day. Wait, no I don't! I've got to watch what I eat. Wait, no I don't. I'm like I can just relax, play games," KSI added.

"It’s all these things that I would normally do. I've been playing Overwatch, playing the new Spider-Man 2 game. I've been seeing my mates, Sidemen mates and just relaxing. My girlfriend has loved it. She's like 'He's back, finally!' we can go out to restaurants and eat anything. We can go on holiday and vibe."
