Coleen Rooney speaks on Wayne’s cheating and tragic miscarriage in new memoir

Coleen Rooney has opened up about the low points of her marriage which has seen her and husband Wayne survive numerous affair scandals - and also endure a heartbreaking miscarriage.

The 37-year-old mother-of-four has been married to 38-year-old football star Wayne since 2008 and they have known each other since she was 12. Together, the pair have four sons together; 13-year-old Kai, 10-year-old Klay, seven-year-old Kit, and five-year-old Cass.

Over the years, Coleen and Wayne’s marriage has been rocked by numerous affair scandals - inlacing accusations that he bedded hookers, was unfaithful to Coleen while she was pregnant, and there was also the unfortunate incident where he was stopped by police while drunk behind the wheel of a car belonging to party girl Laura Simpson, who was sat in the passenger seat. Due to the string of affair reports, many have dismissed Coleen as a “pushover” - but she argues that she has stood by her man through all their trials as they have a love worth fighting for.

Now the proud mum is opening up about her personal life - and will reveal many of her secrets in her debut autobiography, titled My Account. In her book, Coleen opens up about the affair scandals that rocked her marriage for the first time.

And she has also discussed her autobiography with the Mail on Sunday where she addresses the scandals. She said: "People have asked other people [why I stayed with Wayne], but not many people have personally asked me. There has been unfortunate stuff we've had to go through, and our families have had to cope with – it's been hard at times for them, too. My circle has helped me get through them [tough] times."

Coleen explains why she decided to stick with her marriage. She explained: "It's my decision whatever line I want to go down. I like to think I'm strong enough to say, 'Enough's enough,' or, 'Let's continue and go forward with this'."

She also explained why she let Wayne off, explaining: “Wayne's a great dad. Every time he's gone off the rails, it's been a stupid, drunken, spur-of-the-moment thing…. My message is if there's something to work at, if the love's still there, why would you throw that away? Mistakes have happened, but I've always known Wayne's loved me.”

The Mail on Sunday also revealed that Coleen will open up about the devastating miscarriage she experienced when she and Wayne first started trying to build their family. The publication reports her memoir notes: “[It was] A horrible experience that knocked Wayne for six, too.”

My account by Coleen Rooney will be published on November 9 by Penguin
