Strictly's Adam Thomas' 'extra special' show gesture leaves wife in tears
Adam Thomas' wife Caroline was left in tears on Saturday night after her husband's "extra special" Strictly Come Dancing gesture.
During the latest episode, Adam, 35, and pro partner Luba Mushtuk performed an American Rumba to Dancing On My Own by Calum Scott. In rehearsals, it was revealed that the song was actually Adam and Caroline's wedding song with his wife sweetly surprising him to watch the emotional routine in action.
On Saturday's live show, Caroline was seen wiping away tears in the audience after the routine to which host Claudia Winkleman told Adam that his wife was emotional. Adam said as the camera panned on Caroline: "Was she? Aw bless her, look at her!" he added: "It was our wedding song, so it was extra special!" Adam and Luba scored 27 points for the routine.
During the latest episode, Nigel Harman and Katya Jones performed a Tango to Nothing Breaks Like a Heart by Mark Ronson ft Miley Cyrus, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu danced the Samba to Ain’t It Funny by Jennifer Lopez while Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington performed a Waltz to Fascination by Nat King Cole.
Elsewhere, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin performed a Jive to Shake Ur Body by SHY FX & T Power feat Di, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell performed an Argentine Tango to Sail by AWOLNATION and Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe did a Couple’s Choice to Wings by Birdy.

It comes as Zara McDermott was eliminated last weekend after she and dance partner Graziano Di Prima lost the dreaded dance-off against soap star Adam and his pro partner Luba. Meanwhile, it's been a dramatic few weeks on Strictly after Amanda Abbington quit last month.
The actress, 51, had missed a weekend due to "medical reasons" and just hours later the BBC confirmed she had quit the show all together. The statement said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future." Amanda, 51, has since broken her silence after it was revealed she had quit Strictly, saying "personal reasons" led her to leave the show with "the deepest regret".
