Phillip Schofield will reunite with his wife, Stephanie Lowe, to spend Christmas together with their family - seven months after his life collapsed due to an affair scandal.

The 61-year-old television presenter married producer Stephanie, 59, and together they share two daughters; 30-year-old Molly and 27-year-old Ruby, who have both taken their mother’s maiden name as their own. The marriage came to an end in 2020 when Phil announced he is gay and gave an emotional coming out interview to The Sun and also discussed his sexuality on This Morning.

Phil and Stephanie are technically still married, having only separated since 2020, and are said to remain incredibly close. And Phil even continues to wear his wedding band - which is said to be symbolic of his close friendship with his estranged wife.

Now reports have claimed that Phil and Stephanie will be spending Christmas together this year - with their daughters expected to join in the festive fun. With the festive season being a time for loved ones to come together, the TV star will ‘naturally’ be spending time with his former wife.

A source told Woman's Own: "Christmas is all about spending time with the people you love. While Phil and Steph are no longer together in the traditional sense, there's still a lot of love between them."

The source added: "Phil spends a lot of time with his family, which includes Steph, so it's natural that they'd spend the big day together."

Phil’s personal and professional life spectacularly imploded earlier this year when he was forced to initially quit his lucrative job as a host of This Morning before subsequently being forced to quit his career at ITV entirely. Since September last year, Phil and then co-host of This Morning, Holly Willoughby, had seen their popularity plunge - with rumours of behind-the-scenes bickering rocking the once strong professional friendship.

When they jumped the queue to view the late Queen Elizabeth II lying in state, there was a deafening public backlash that they struggled to recover from. Further reports and rumours of tension and feuding continued to plague them both in the following months until Phil sensationally made the choice to quit This Morning in May.

He argued at the time that he made the choice because speculation that he and Holly had fallen out was beginning to risk overshadowing the show. However, less than a week later, the star confessed to having engaged in an “unwise, but not illegal” affair with a much younger man who worked as part of the crew on This Morning.

He lied to his management, ITV and Holly Willoughby about the affair. He was subsequently dropped by his management company and he cut all ties with ITV.
