Kate set for bittersweet day as Prince Harry's explosive memoir looms
The royals will be bracing themselves for a potentially explosive few days as Prince Harry's memoir edges closer to its release date.
The bombshell memoir called Spare is set to be released on Tuesday - and no doubt every detail in the book, especially any mention of his royal relatives, will be poured over.
The memoir will come just hours after the airing of two sit-down interviews Harry has given to ITV in the UK and US TV show 60 Minutes.
It's set to be a tense time, not least for King Charles, Prince William and his wife Kate, who could be set for a bittersweet day next Monday.

Kate will turn 41 on Monday - and it is likely that she will be spending the day privately with William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis before the youngsters head back to school later next week following the Christmas break.
It's not the first time that Kate's birthday has landed amid drama for Harry and Meghan Markle.
In 2020, just one day after the Princess of Wales turned 38, Harry and Meghan announced that they would be quitting their royal roles.
This led to the Sandringham Summit just days later, which Harry recently said he was left terrified at after William screamed and shouted at him.

A source with knowledge of the book told the Sunday Times : "Generally, I think the book [will be] worse for them than the royal family is expecting.
“Everything is laid bare. Charles comes out of it better than I had expected, but it’s tough on William, in particular, and even Kate gets a bit of a broadside.

The source added the book explores in depth Harry’s grief about his mother’s death, which he touched on during his Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan.
They said: “The overall impression is that this is a man who has never recovered from the trauma of his mother dying so young, and then along comes Meghan and he projects on to her a parallel with Diana.”

Harry with older brother William (Getty Images)It comes after the publisher of Spare, Penguin Random House previously said the book would be "raw" with "unflinching honesty" and described it as Harry's "story at last".
It said: "It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror.
"As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on.
