Alan Ruck's recent run-in with a pizza shop caused chaos

Alan Ruck crashed his truck into the side of a pizza shop in a dramatic four-way collision, but is now doing okay and is "thankful nobody was killed".

The actor, who starred as Connor Roy on Succession, crashed into Raffalo's Pizza in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, crashing into the restaurant's toilets. Law enforcement sources said that the incident took place around 9pm at the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.

In the accident, Alan hit two other vehicles. Reports suggest two people were injured in the crash but were both still breathing and conscious. There was also no indication that the incident involved a DUI. Those involved in the accident did not experience any major injuries and Alan has now updated fans about how he's doing.

Alan told TMZ: "I'm fine. Thank God nobody was killed." Apparently, the publication caught him limping a bit with a sleeve over his knees. However, Alan attributed those symptoms to 'old age.' The actor is currently 67 years old and has had prior health scares in the past.

In fact, he's previously admitted to a near death experience as the result of a blood infection. He revealed on the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron that in 2001 he contracted the infection, but the circumstances surrounding it were rather a mystery. He said: "They still don't know how it happened, but I got blood poisoning. I got a streptococcal type g infection in my blood. And all I knew is we were filming like the last show before Christmas and I felt like I was going to die. I just had the worst headache of my life. My whole body hurt. I didn't know what was going on."

Apparently, he was so "delirious" that he ended up getting dropped off at the wrong aparment without knowing it. Those around him just assumed he was drunk as he slumped over in the lobby. "I was a mess," he said. When Alan eventually made it back to his own home, his wife assumed, like everyone else, that he was simply drunk.

However, when he completely collapsed, she realised there might be something more insidious going on. She called 9-1-1 and emergency services came to the rescue. Alan explained: "My kidneys had stopped working. I got this ferocious infection in my bloodstream."

He added: "My liver, for like a minute, was like, 'Is the liver going to go?' because it would've been curtains. So, for two days, they were like, 'He's not going to make it' and then, after two days, I was hanging in there and they were like, 'OK, it looks like he's going to pull through, but he's not going to be right upstairs.' And then I started to regain some clarity and I wasn't any dumber than I was before when I got sick."

After Wednesday's crash, the former Ferris Bueller's Day Off actor reportedly hung around after the accident and was spotted standing outside of his truck and talking on his cell phone. The accident reportedly occurred after the 67-year-old actor's car struck another vehicle from behind which then pushed the car into the intersection as his car slammed into the restaurant.

A bystander of the accident took to TikTok after sharing footage of the accident and the aftermath of the damage. The video and picture footage show the star's Rivian truck lodged into the side of a building with debris scattered inside of a bathroom at the pizza joint.

The user who shared the footage on social media wrote: "Crazy Halloween night someone thought it was a drive-through. It sounded like a bomb went off when this happened. I ran out to check on people and I was the first one there. It was unbelievably crazy. The driver was OK. One person from another vehicle had a broken arm, and another person was knocked unconscious with an airbag. What a crazy night!!!"
