Joss Stone shares snap of bargain ASOS wedding dress after secretly tying knot
Joss Stone has shared a snap of her wedding dress – and revealed it cost just £70.
The Fell In Love With A Boy singer revealed she secretly tied the knot with her long-term love Cody DaLuz last week. The couple, who live in Nashville in the States, already share two children, daughter Violet, two, and one-year-old son Shackleton.
Revealing details about their big day, Joss said she was inspired to walk down the aisle after receiving an “omen” while she was on stage. The 36-year-old is currently starring in a musical production of The Time Traveller’s Wife in London’s West End.
At the end of the show, one of the characters throws a bouquet of flowers like you would at a wedding and they landed at Joss’ feet. She said: “No one went to pick them up and I was like, well they were for me! So I picked them up and everyone was like, ‘Yay!’ Anyway, I went home to Nashville and we got married last Thursday.”
Since then, Joss has gone on to share a photo of her wedding dress, which she bought from ASOS “ages ago”. The floor length flowy white gown has a halter neck with plunging neckline and is cinched in at the waist. She is seen giving a thumbs up to the camera in the candid snap.

It literally cost me £70 and it came in the post and was tagged ‘bridal’. Luckily, I can still fit into it after having two kids!” Joss confessed to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden.
And as well as being a mum-of-two, Joss is keen to add to her brood despite having a difficult birth with her second child, son Shackleton. The star had to have an emergency C-section after revealing her uterus had split so she couldn’t give birth naturally. Despite this, she “definitely” wants more kids, whether that is biologically or being an adoptive parent.
At the moment, Joss and new husband Cody are in the process of becoming approved to adopt. Sharing her hopes for the future, Joss told HELLO! magazine: “We’re trying to do our home study. I hope we get to do it. I want, like, 25 kids!” The couple also plan to move back to Devon, where Joss is from, so they their kids can have a similar upbringing to their famous mum.
Joss met Cody - a former Marine who works in logistics for Amazon - in an airport in Belize in 2020, just before lockdown. Describing the moment she knew he was ‘The One’.
She told the Mirror: “I started most conversations in previous relationships for the last seven or eight years with, ‘Nice to meet you… I want seven kids,’ and then I’d wait to see whether they laughed or ran! Cody, though, he was like, ‘All I want is an adoptive Beagle and an adoptive baby.’ I was like, ‘My God, I love you.’ I knew he was 'The One'. And I told him I wanted seven children and he didn’t run a mile.”
