My Mum Your Dad's Roger and Janey land huge role on This Morning amid shake-up

After meeting on the hit series My Mum, Your Dad, Roger Hawes and Janey Smith delighted fans when they revealed they were still together following the show's finale.

The pair have gone from strength to strength ever since, and have been in bliss for five months - with Roger recently dropping the L-bomb and telling Janey how much he loves her. As their love story continues to blossom, the pair are now moving on to bigger things after landing an exciting role on This Morning.

The pair joined hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on this morning's instalment of the ITV programme to announce that they will be joining the This Morning team. The loved-up pair are set to participate in travel segments on the show, and will tour the country giving reviews and sightseeing.

"Glad that you're joining the team. It's going to be a lot of fun guys," Dermot gushed after Janey and Roger made the announcement on the famous This Morning couch.

Janey and Roger, who featured on Davina McCall's new ITV dating show last month, have since found long-lasting romance after their stints vowed to work on their long-distance relationship. Viewers who tuned into the show watched as romance blossomed between the pair, including when the duo shared a passionate kiss on a picnic date. Rodger who lives in Derbyshire joined the experiment with the hope of finding a best friend and lover after having no luck on dating apps.

Singer Janey from West Sussex was nominated to appear on the reality series by her 19-year-old son William and jokingly admitted at the time: "It’s getting a bit desperate now! We need a good chance of getting her to find someone."

Roger recently opened up about his romance with Janey and said "We couldn’t be happier together," he gushed before adding it would not have been "possible without" presenter Davina.

Janey has also spoken about her relationship with Roger publicly, telling one curious fan that it was "so worth it" to be travelling "lots of miles" to see her new beau in the flesh. She also shared a photo of the pair cuddling up in bed together with the saucy caption, "What an amazing journey… Saturday mornings just got a whole lot better."
