PS5 Slim could have Modern Warfare 3 included for free

With the Modern Warfare 3 launch just around the corner now, it may be worth canceling your pre-order if you were hoping to pick up a PS5 Slim.

The latest addition to the Call of Duty lineup, Moden Warfare 3, is set to hit shelves on Friday, November 10 with early access giving those who pre-ordered the title the ability to start the campaign right now. However, for gamers who are considering picking up a PS5 Slim after its recent unveiling, it may be worth cancelling your Modern Warfare 3 pre-order as a recently leaked advert suggests a bundle will be available that gives you Modern Warfare 3 for free.

The advert, which was shared by @charlieINTEL on Twitter showcases the new PS5 Slim console paired with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for just $499.99. It states that this is while supplies last at the bottom of the advert. This essentially allows gamers to bag the title for free given that Sony confirmed that the PS5 Slim would come in at £479.99 / $499.99, with Australian pricing yet to be confirmed in its announcement.

Slimming it

The tweet also stated that the PS5 Slim bundle will be available on Friday, November 10, which coincides with both the Modern Warfare 3 release date and the PS5 Slim release date, which is yet to be confirmed but will fall in November. Right now it's unclear as to whether or not this bundle will be available in other regions or will be a US exclusive.

If you were hoping to get a digital edition PS5 Slim paired with a free copy of Modern Warfare 3 then it seems like you're out of luck for the time being, with the deal currently only advertising the disc edition console. It also seems to feature the standard edition of Modern Warfare 3 rather than any of the special editions.

PS5 Slim pre-orders are yet to open, however with the ad stating that the bundle will be available on November 10, it's likely we'll see this change within the next few days. Based on this bundle, it is likely that there will be a range of other bundle deals available once PS5 Slim pre-orders open, so if Modern Warfare 3 isn't your thing but you still want to snag a deal just be sure to keep an eye out on the day.
