A night of fun with a "friend with benefits" turned into an extremely embarrassing A&E trip for a woman in Manchester.

Gigi Chapman was mortified when she had to seek medical help after getting an adult toy lodged inside her, and has even revealed a hilarious x-ray of her predicament. The 34-year-old was enjoying an afternoon with the friend when the three-inch metal toy was used. After realising it wouldn't come out, Gigi says she had to take a trip to her local hospital's emergency department where the toy was removed by hand in an "excruciating" procedure, narrowly missing emergency surgery.

Red-faced Gigi took to TikTok recounting the humiliating experience, comparing the agony to how she imagines childbirth must feel. Gigi, originally from Northampton, said her housemate was "in pure hysterics" at the situation at first.

"It was very, very funny. We just laughed the whole time, even though I was getting a bit stressed, hot and flustered," she said. She initially tried sitting in a hot bath to sort the situation, before realising she needed proper medical assistance.

Gigi says the NHS call handler was giggling at her medical emergency on August 24, before advising her to get to A&E to avoid damaging her sphincter. After an 'uncomfortable' Uber ride to hospital where Gigi says she 'sat like a stiff board', she was seen by a male A&E nurse within 10 minutes.

Medics at first were puzzled, and said it would safer to get the toy surgically removed. "At that point the laughing had stopped and I was a bit panicky," she said. "The most traumatic thing I've had is a smear test or getting my coil put in. The thought of having surgery was scary. One of the surgeons asked if anyone had tried getting it out, so he thought they should try before I went under general anaesthetic.

"The surgeon put some rubber gloves on and a load of lube up my bum and put some fingers up there, which was excruciating pain. Everyone told me to relax but that's easy to say when you don't have four strangers in a room and fingers up your bum. The trainee doctor was absolutely beautiful. He looked like a 90s heartthrob."

Much like giving birth, Gigi was given gas and air to help with the pain. "They were at one point going to give me an epidural," she said "It was like I was birthing a butt plug. I didn't keep the toy. He asked me three times but I told him to destroy it and I never wanted to see it again."

Viewers were left in disbelief over the 'hilarious' x-ray which Gigi shared on her TikTok. One viewer claimed: "Omg this is so funny. As an ex-nurse I've seen lots of strange objects stuck in places but your attitude is great."

Gigi said: "I had loads of girls messaging me after saying the same thing had happened to them and they had never told anyone. Obviously it's very embarrassing but these things do happen. You don't get taught that sex is for pleasure - embarrassing things happen and nice things happen." Gigi admits she was mortified by the 'traumatising' ordeal - and has not tried to engage in similar activities since.
