Katie Price says she fears Harvey 'kicking off' as she shares his weight

Katie Price has revealed fears for her son Harvey who has now gained weight and has reached an astonishing 28st.

The 45-year-old glamour model turned podcaster opened up about her eldest child after a fan wrote in asking for advice on how to deal with passers-by looking at her son who has gained weight due to a brain tumour. Since his birth, Katie has single-handedly raised her Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and is partially blind, from birth.

Back in 2021, Katie hosted a documentary Katie Price: Harvey And Me, focusing on her life as a carer for a disabled child as he entered adulthood.

At the time, Katie showed fans that her dream was for Harvey to live a much more independent life. But fast-forward two years, it seems that although her eldest of five children is seemingly independent, she fears that he could throw a huge tantrum, causing a scene in public. In answering her fan question, Katie said: "If a child has behavioural problems, you get people who look at you and think you can’t control your kids when really there’s any underlying reason. Harvey now weighs 182 kg [28.6st]. He’s massive and when he kicks off, he kicks off. I’ve got past everyone looking now but on top of it, everyone knows who Harvey is. He’s one child I go out with and he gets recognised."

Last year, Katie revealed that Harvey, now 21, had received a warning from experts over his weight. But Harvey then lost a stone after reaching 29st and she told fans: "I'm so proud of Harvey he has lost a stone now and his college are doing amazing trying to keep him active and healthy eating as it's now become life-threatening with his weight #lovemyson." Harvey moved out of Katie's home in 2021, dubbed Mucky Mansion after he was accepted into a £350,000 a year residential college.

At the time when he was first accepted, Katie revealed that she had an overwhelming sense of guilt. She said: "It breaks my heart. I don’t want him to think I’m just getting rid of him. It’s so upsetting to think I won’t see him every day but this is the best thing for Harvey and we have to think positively. This is his chance to live an independent life, learn skills and socialise with people other than me."

During the same episode of her podcast, the star admitted that while she misses her son, she is relieved that he's returned to college after the recent half-term break. Harvey had broken a number of items in her home, as Katie went on to say: "I have to say, for the first time, I couldn't wait for him to go back to college. It's like, two tellys, it's cost me three windows and then he blocked the toilets so I had to get £600 to get a plumber round. I've just had a week of hell. It's a big weight off my shoulder."
