Key details as Lego confirms when its Black Friday sale will begin
Black Friday month is finally here, as savvy shoppers are hoping to bag some amazing bargains from their favourite retailers. Black Friday takes place at the same time every year – the first Friday after the US celebrates Thanksgiving.
It marks one of the year’s biggest shopping events with huge retailers including Apple, Boots, Sky and Currys taking part. But it’s not just the big tech and fashion brands, plenty of toy retailers are getting in on the action too.
Lego has confirmed it will have some special Black Friday offers this month, and is set to launch some exciting discounts and brand-new sets. The iconic Danish toy brand no longer just produces building blocks for children but now makes model sets for all ages, with many of its popular sets based on beloved films and TV shows including Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel.

This year, Lego will be running its sale across the entire Black Friday weekend from November 24 to Cyber Monday on November 27. The company is raring to go for its Black Friday sales event and already has a dedicated section of its website for its Black Friday deals.
Shop prices 'are yet to peak and will remain high' as inflation hits new heightsLego is launching some brand-new sets especially for Black Friday, including across its Star Wars, Harry Potter and Technic ranges. There’s also bargains to be had on sets for the little ones, with new launches in Lego’s City and Duplo ranges.
Though the retailer is yet to confirm any of its Black Friday deals on existing items, it has already released a host of new products including Star Wars dioramas of the Death Star Trench Run, the Emperor’s Throne Room and Luke and Leia’s Endor Speeder Chase, with prices ranging from £59.99 to £89.99.
Elsewhere on its Black Friday sales page, Lego has listed the 7,500-piece Millennium Falcon, an X-Wing Starfighter, and several new Mandalorian sets like Mando’s Razor Crest ship and a 20cm tall model of Grogu – AKA Baby Yoda. Shoppers should expect to see offers across these products, as well as Harry Potter items like Hogwarts Castle, the Chamber of Secrets and Dobby the House-Elf – which already comes in at the bargain price of £24.99.
What’s more, with the free-to-join Lego Insiders – formerly known as Lego VIP – shoppers can benefit from great deals and discounts all year round, not just on Black Friday. They will also be entitled to even more benefits on Lego Insiders Weekend, which is the weekend before Black Friday.
But if Lego’s Black Friday sale can’t come quick enough, other retailers have already launched some amazing deals. Bargain hunters can catch an early deal on some awesome Lego sets from Argos and Zavvi, who are offering huge discounts on several Star Wars and Harry Potter sets.
Argos has cut the price of the Millennium Falcon set to £588 – a huge saving of £147 – and also reduced the Republic Gunship from Lego’s Ultimate Collector Series to £276 – a saving of £69. There’s also something for Potterheads, who can save £82 on the Hogwarts Castle set at £328.
Friends fans can save £32 on The Friends Apartments, which includes sets of Monica’s apartment and Joey and Chandler’s from the US sitcom. The must-have item for lovers of the US sitcom – which includes everything from Joey’s ceramic dog to a giant poking device – has been reduced to £128.
If superheroes are more your thing, Marvel fans can pick up the Guardians of the Galaxy Ship set for the new price of £104 – £36 cheaper than Disney’s official store. What’s more, with these Argos Price-Promise deals, shoppers can buy in the confidence that the purchase price will not be lower before January 1.
Those who may be looking for an early Christmas present for younger family members can make a huge saving at Zavvi with the Lego City: Stuntz Double Loop Stunt Arena Motorbike set for £74.99 – a saving of £55.
