Rebekah Vardy may have been painted as a villain over the past couple of years - and she seemed happy to playfully lean into the jibe by dressing up as an iconic antihero for Halloween.

The 41-year-old mum-of-five went through a baptism of public fire last year thanks to her court case with fellow WAG, Coleen Rooney, which saw a judge side with her 37-year-old rival who had claimed she’d been selling fake stories about her to the press. Becky’s personal and professional life has been dragged through the headlines in the 15 months since the case concluded as public interest has remained high since the ruling.

But far from letting the continued drama - which came back into focus this month due to the release of the Disney+ documentary series Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story - the media personality has been finding fun ways to pass the time. And with Halloween falling upon us on Tuesday, the occasional TV star found a titillating way to celebrate.

Taking to Instagram Stories as darkness fell on Tuesday, Rebekah posed in a sizzling Catwoman outfit - which included a mask with pointed ears. The former Dancing On Ice star chose a striking shade of lipstick to add a devilish lick of red to her appearance while looking sensational in her skin-tight catsuit.

While Catwoman was devised by DC Comics to be a major supervillain, facing off against iconic hero Batman, her character has become more complex in the decades since she first appeared in print in 1940. And big screen versions of the character have seen her championed as a sex symbol with Lee Meriwether first playing her on the big screen in 1966, and Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and Zoë Kravitz all giving their own unique and unforgettable turns as the character in a string of iconic films since.

Rebekah's outfit does have one unfortunate accessory, however - a support boot. The star sustained a painful injury on Monday after she was thrown from a horse and dragged along the ground and needed to be rushed to hospital.

Reports swiftly revealed Becky had broken her heel and fractured her foot, while a friend shared details of her accident with The Sun: They said: "Becky was riding a horse close to her home in Leicester when it got spooked and threw her from the saddle. Her foot got caught in the stirrup and she was dragged along the ground while it was spinning in circles."

The star has been sporting a support boot and crutches since the accident. Meanwhile, she has previously opened up about mental scars she has suffered since her time in court facing off with Coleen. After losing the libel case, Rebekah spoke about how the trial had taken a toll on her, telling The Sun in August last year: “Physically, emotionally and mentally it was exhausting. It was draining.

“I had to go to hospital a couple of times because they were really worried about my mental wellbeing. And since the court case, I think I’m probably suffering with PTSD — I feel physically sick when I talk about the trial and what happened, and I have nightmares.”

Coleen, 37, previously claimed that she shared fake stories on her social media feeds and limited those who saw it in an effort to uncover who had been selling stories about her to a tabloid. She explained: "I put warning posts out there, saying 'someone was leaking my private information' and it just didn't stop, it continued and I just had enough and I just wanted it done with."
