Love Island's Montana Brown was criticised for her baby's outfit choice

Love Island's Montana Brown has been cruelly mum-shamed during a visit to a pumpkin patch with her baby son Jude.

The reality TV star gave birth to her son Jude in June and took to Instagram to share an adorable update with her followers. However, Montana was soon hit with criticism from fans as they were not impressed with the snaps. Montana, who appeared on the 2018 series of the hit ITV2 show, posted a series of pics from Jude's visit to a pumpkin patch.

The mother and son celebrated Halloween by picking pumpkins and Jude got into the spooky spirit with a cute pumpkin hat. In the pictures, Montana could be seen beaming as she snuggled her baby. She also posted an image of Jude sat in a wheelbarrow smiling away as he lay next to some pumpkins.

Yet some followers took issue with Jude's outfit as he wore a baby grow and socks for the outing. Posting under Montana's update, one said: "So cute… Cold day in a thin baby grow and to add a lovely cold metal wheelbarrow… Least you got a cute pic hopefully no cold comes from it." Another added: "Is he not freezing." Someone else slammed: "She’s dressed warm and the baby dressed for July weather… but I guess mums know best eh."

However Montana was quickly defended as one said: "Jesus Christ, leave her alone. You do know you can’t get a cold from being cold? I’m presuming you don’t have children?" While others gushed over the adorable snaps as one commented: "Omg!!!! this is the cutest post!!!!!" A follower added: "Literally too cute."

Earlier this month Montana admitted she was "struggling" with her anxiety that was at "an all time high" as she adjusts to motherhood. She also revealed she's suffering with post partum hair loss as she asked her followers for advice on how to solve her "bald patches". Writing on Instagram in a post shared with her 1.2 million followers, Montana wrote: "This has been me for the past 2 weeks, I wanted to be really open as I’ve really struggled mentally way more than I anticipated.

"My anxiety has been at an all time high and I’ve been so emotional which I struggle with. I know its understandable with juggling so much. I'm trying to just have love and patience for myself as I can feel myself just being so negative and finding it hard to get out of it. Not being able to move, looking after a newborn, being in pain and just not being able to go for a walk and do things that I know make me feel happy and clear my head.."

She continued: "Just thought it’s worth sharing as I am normally a very positive person and the past 2 weeks has been the first time in an extremely long time that I’ve felt this low and upset. I’m always feeling grateful for the people in my life who always build me up and support me. My beautiful friends and family - I appreciate them so much.

"I know I won’t feel like this forever so this week I’m making a conscious effort to do my affirmations, meditate and breathwork as I need to try regulate my anxious bod and get back to happy Mon." The former Love Islander welcomed her baby boy with fiancé Mark O'Connor over the summer. They met on New Years Eve in Barbados in 2020, but said their relationship was more of a slow burn than a instant fireworks.

"People assume it’s a romantic story because we met on New Year’s Eve and kissed at midnight," she told OK! magazine earlier this year. "But we didn’t initially like each other. We went on dates, but there was no spark or fireworks. We got along well and I realised he was a man of his word. I’d had experience with unreliable men, whereas I trusted Mark from the get-go."
