Judi Love has some advice for Britney Spears following the release of her bombshell book.
Britney’s new memoir, The Woman In Me, was released on October 24 and details her rise to stardom and subsequent 13-year conservatorship under the control of her father, which finally ended in 2021.
In the book, now 41-year-old Britney revealed what it was like to sign her first record deal at the age of 15 and become a global megastar virtually overnight when her debut single Baby One More Time shot to number 1 around the world.
But some of the most shocking revelations are about her ex-boyfriend, actor and NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake, who she dated from 1999 to 2002. At the time their relationship began Britney was just 18 years old.
She recalls the painful memory of having an abortion during the time they were together as Justin “wasn’t happy” she had fallen pregnant and thought he was too young to become a dad. In a bid to keep it secret from the press as both were rising stars at the time, Britney claims she took pills to end the pregnancy.

Britney makes some shocking revelations about ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake in the book (Getty Images)Describing lying on the floor of her bathroom, she wrote that Justin “got his guitar” and began playing it to her because he thought music would help the “excruciating” pain she was going through.
Revealing the medical abortion “took hours”, Britney claimed she still “remembers the pain and fear” 20 years on from the agonising experience. In another apparent blow to her, fans pointed out Justin later named one of his dogs Brennan, the name Britney had earmarked for one of her future children.
The book also claims Justin cheated on her with another celebrity, but has chosen not to reveal the name of the woman in question because they now have a family and she doesn't want to embarrass them. Other bombshells include Justin allegedly dumping Britney by text in 2002 with the brutal words “It’s over!!” and her hurt over him appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone months later with her rival Christina Aguilera.
Loose Women star Judi Love has some advice for Britney after reading her memoir (Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock)Discussing Britney’s book in her latest column for OK! magazine, Loose Women star Judi said the Toxic singer’s experience of being a childhood star needs to get people talking as it shows the hazards of having so much fame at such a young age.
The 43-year-old, who is a stand-up comedian and regular panellist on ITV daytime show Loose Women, added she hoped Britney, who later married three times and is mum to teenage sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, had since got the help and support she needed.
She wrote: “Becoming famous at a young age has an impact, but I don’t think it’s spoken about enough. I know the level of work that goes into working in entertainment and I can’t imagine doing that as a child.
“You haven’t even learnt who you are in yourself, so how can you be expected to teach everybody else how to be the perfect kid? Britney’s book is a reflection of that and I hope she gets the support and help she deserves.”
