'Unboxing The Body Shop advent calendar smells like opening a pack of Starburst'
The Body Shop has very distinctive packaging and more importantly, masses of skin soothing ingredients for all skin types- but the biggest thing I have learned from using the brand's ' The Advent of Change' advent calendar, is that the scents are unmatched.
The hand creams and balms alone have such a strong scent that you can smell them all day. It was time to delve even further into the product's offered in this year's affordable calendar- and at £45 a po p (reduced from £59), it's a great price for a gift for a loved one.
The Body Shop have this year launched three advent calendars which vary in price- the £45, £70 and £100 options give people the choice to enjoy some of the store's bestselling products at a massively reduced price.
When choosing an advent calendar, I would always go with one which is packed with plenty of product's that I don't particularly invest in. I tend to spend quite a bit more on make up and skincare lately, so picking up a calendar packed with bathing and pampering goods is a nice alternative.
I know it's not groundbreaking but in all honesty, I have been most impressed with the hand creams packed into the calendar.
Shop prices 'are yet to peak and will remain high' as inflation hits new heightsI have not gone anywhere without my new Mango or Almond Milk Hand Balms- they smell absolutely stunning.
Also, the zesty shower scents are so lovely to use first thing in the morning- I need a good wake up with a scolding hot shower and The Body Shop have accelerated this experience ten fold with their powerfully scented range.
My favourite product
I am one of these people that, when I like a scent I get it in any product I can- and for me coconut scented ANYTHING is just untouchable. The Coconut Shower Cream is a new one for me, but wow has it converted me.
It smells beautiful and I love that, unlike with a regular shower gel, foam or wash, it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth even without having to apply moisturiser- and for £8 for a larger bottle it os definitely a worthy investment... you only need to use a pea sized amount with each wash (a little goes a long way!)

Verdict
From having a good go of the majority of the products in this year's The Body Shop 'Advent of Change' advent calendar, I do think it should be considered for a pampering gift for a loved one or for yourself.
I have my own ritial which, every week (at least) I will have a pamper night and it really helps me keep my mind in check and have some time to relax and treat myself.
For £45, you are getting £119 worth of products to unbox throughout December to put a smile on your face- in all honesty, I would love for somebody to purchase one for me.... it's got some great additional products you wouldn't expect to find in a pampering advent calendar- including the Small Ramie Lilly and Hair Claw.
You can pick one up here on The Body Shop website- and if this one is not for you, we have plenty of other brands we have tried & tested which might tickle your fancy.
