James Haskell and Chloe Madeley spent Saturday night apart as they announced their split after five years of marriage.

The former England rugby star tuned into the rugby World Cup with his one-year-old daughter as his wife Chloe was said to be staying with her famous parents. The daughter of TV stars Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan didn't join James or daughter Bodhi. I'm A Celebrity's James shared photos of his night in as he settled down in front of the television to watch the historic match.

Chloe was understood to have stayed with Richard and Judy at their London property. James' post came shortly after the couple announced they had decided to split, having parted ways in September. He shared a short clip of Bodhi in her dressing gown as he prepared her for bed.

In a statement on Saturday evening Chloe said: “James and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023. We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time - certainly not while the television show was airing - but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.

“Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time. Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.” Breaking his silence on Instagram, James shared the same statement and added: "It's with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done. My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won't be commenting any further."

Chloe then re-shared James' post onto her own account. Just this weekthe pair reunited with each otherafter James returnedfrom a boozy lads trip.

The 38-year-old sports starrecently enjoyed a trip to Pariswhere he was spotted partying with his pals including Mike Tindall without hiswedding ring. Chloe and James said 'I do' in 2018, but speculation has been riferegarding the state of their relationship in recent timesafter Chloe was also spotted without her wedding band as she partied on a girls night out.

The rugby star was also pictured chatting with a mystery blonde lady earlier this month during a night out with friends at celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse. Chloe then shared a cryptic message alongside a photo of her daughter following the pic. She said: "I think about how lucky I am every day. Especially after the last few weeks. I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Count your blessings."

James and Chloe recently had their "biggest row ever" documented on their ITVBe show. It came after James posted Instagram snaps of him DJing in Ibiza while surrounded by scantily-clad women while Chloe was at home caring for the couple's 14-month-old, Bodhi. It has been reported James is still living at their family home in London.
