Miley Cyrus says she’d love to work with Billie Eilish in what would surely be the biggest female collab in recent memory.

The US singer opened up about her admiration for 21-year-old Billie in an exclusive chat, admitting she is “in awe” of her talent. And she says that the Bad Guy singer tops her ultimate list of artists she hopes to record music with. Speaking in LA, Wrecking Ball singer Miley confides: “I absolutely love Billie Eilish… she’s one of the coolest artists out there at the moment.

“What impressed me so much is that she is already an authentic artist. She knows exactly the story she wants to tell and exactly the message she wants to express in her work. I’m in total awe of her. When I was her age, I didn’t know who I was as an artist and was still being heavily influenced by others. But she knows exactly who she is and it is just so impressive.”

Former teen star Miley adds: “When I think of all the artists out there at the moment, she’s definitely at the top of the list of people I’d like to work with. There haven’t been any conversations yet. But it’s something I’m open to, for sure.” Miley is no stranger to teamwork, having previously released hits with Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks and her godmother Dolly Parton.

But Billie, meanwhile, has been less keen to commit to working with other artists. In 2019, she admitted that collaborations make her “get really in my own head and weird”. But after her work with Vince Staples on &Burn, and her recent link-up with Labrinth on Never Felt So Alone, she may be starting to change her mind. The ball’s in your court, Billie…
