ITV Love Island's Faye Winter backs Big Brother star to win but vows to 'wrap them in cotton wool'

Love Island legend Faye Winter has gushed over Big Brother housemate Yinrun, who she believes is a winner.

Currently, housemates are battling it out for the chance to be crowned the winner of the ITV house and walk away with £100,000. Although two housemates have already been evicted, one has become a clear hit with viewers at home and is favourite to win. Tonight will see Dylan, Hallie and Trish face the public vote following a string of tense nominations within the house.

But the actions of Yinrun jeopardised nominations, which resulted in her being sent to prison for trying to discuss the process with Boris Johnson fan, Henry. Former Love Island star Faye, 28, who has teamed up with Omaze and Breast Cancer Now has weighed in on the ITV show.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, she said: "I just want to wrap her in cotton wool. I love her. I think she's absolutely brilliant. The only problem is she's so favourite to win now that it doesn't matter what happens, I don't even need to watch it anymore because I just know she's going to win because she's great.

"But, I would love it if she came out and the whole thing was an act, how great would that be? I'd love it – that would be the best thing ever. Imagine if she came out and she was like 'Actually guys, I'm not like this!'" Faye has teamed up with Omaze and Breast Cancer Now allowing competition winners to get their hands on a house worth over £3.5million as well as £100,000 in cash.

It comes following her own cancer scare earlier this year, having discovered a lump between her arm and breast while on holiday with her friends. Discussing the competition, she said: "It's such an incredible thing because it's like winning the lottery and you get all of this money. It's such an amazing win and also to be able to say 'That is my dream home' and you will automatically think it has to do with breast cancer and 'Actually, I probably should check,' it's just all round incredible."

Discussing her own scare, Faye said: "I was on a girl's holiday I was trying to take just a bit of time and thought I actually really need a break with my girls," when she was putting her suncream on, she noticed her lump. But while October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, she now admits that the month will always be important to her.

"I always say the first step to getting the all-clear, it's horrendous at the time to have to go through it and go to the doctors," she said before adding: "And you don't know if it is something, you don't know if it isn't, but it's such an important time to speak about it and to make sure people are actually checking their breasts."

The star who is an avid supporter of multiple charities was also keen to stress that breast cancer can affect both men and women. "It's obviously to do with your breast tissue, it could be anyone," she said before continuing: "It's a bit scary." Although Faye was on holiday at the time of her scare with her "best girls" from Love Island, the star instantly had her pals feeling her lump in order to reassure her that it may not be something to worry about.

After arriving back in the UK, Faye went to see her GP to get checked out who later referred her for a rapid two-week scan. Thankfully, tests came back and revealed that her lump was not cancer. According to research and support charity Breast Cancer Now, Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK with 1 woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. Around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.
