Tyson Fury has agreed with sentiments that he may fight until he is 50-years-old after multiple failed attempts at hanging up his gloves in recent years.

Last year the 35-year-old world heavyweight champion appeared to genuinely be finished with the sport after defeating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in a record-breaking homecoming. But within eight months he had fought at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Derek Chisora, and was facing off with Oleksandr Usyk ahead of a potential undisputed fight.

Instead, he has opted to take on a massive crossover fight with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou this weekend, with Usyk signed up for his next bout should he win. Fury is expected to make an eye-watering nine-figure sum as part of his multi-fight deal with Saudi Arabian officials, but flip flops on how much money plays a factor in his motivation.

"Listen, we take one fight at a time as always," he told the Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel this week. "But other than the niggling that most boxers have I haven't got a million miles on the clock, I've not had no dramatic damage to the face so I'm pretty good, doing alright.

"So it makes me happy and that's the most important thing. When I'm in training camp, my brother Shane said in an interview yesterday: 'Tyson's only happy when he's in camp so he's probably going to box on until he's 50'. I don't know, I was born to do something why take it away from me when I'm doing well?

"If I'm doing what I need to do and it makes me happy who's anybody to say I can't do what I want to do? Plenty of time left, I've only just turned 25, I'm fresh as a daisy, fit as a fiddle, healthy as a trout, game as a pebble."

Host Dev Sahni then quizzed him on who he would face in some of the suggested ten fights he has left, Fury noted that the opposition isn't as important as his involvement in major events. He claimed that they can take the ' Tyson Fury travelling circus' across the world, with the Brit battling a new champion in every major territory.
