Big Brother aired a huge twist on its Late and Live show tonight - as one contestant was jailed for rule-breaking.

The ITV2 spin-off show, which followed the main show, revealed that Yinrun was put in jail this evening for breaking a rule. Whilst they have yet to divulge what rule it is, they did reveal she had been in there for three hours so far.

She was in a small red cage in the garden of the Big Brother house, as host AJ Odudu chatted with house guest Oti Mabuse. Oti was seen looking in from the outside at the garden as some of the other contestants sat alongside Yinrun near the jail. She was handed a hot drink and had food stuffed in her pockets so she wasn't without the things she needed.

Tonight on Late and Live, it was confirmed Yinrun is in jail and that it will affect the eviction. Yinrun's votes will now not count towards the eviction due to the rule break, but we are yet to know what she has done.

When Yinrun - a 25-year-old Customer Support Agent from Harrogate - joined the show, she spoke about her love of tea. "Since I moved to the UK, I have to drink a cup of tea every day - Yorkshire tea with milk," she said.

"I’m most excited about being surrounded by so many people from different walks of life. I don't think I will ever live in a house again with so many different kinds of people. I’m from China and I think it will help me be more immersed in British culture."

Earlier in the series, Will Best revealed that Hallie had been punished for breaking a rule. She told housemates that she thought Matty had nominated her, which Big Brother said was a rule break as it was discussing nominations.

"Therefore, Big Brother is left with no choice but to punish you," she was told about the rule break. As her punishment, she was forced to wear a giant sandwich board which dubbed her a "rule breaker". Hallie and Olivia had also penned secret messages to each other during their nominations when Hallie spelt letters out on Olivia's back.
