Liam Gallagher has offered an arm of support to his brother Noel after years of feuding between the singlings.

The pair have been at loggerheads since the legendary group decided to split in 2009. Oasis topped the charts across the globe between 1993 and 2009 with hits such as Champagne Supanova, Wonderwall and D'You Know What I Mean? But since being embroiled in a feud, the brothers have shown no sign of declaring peace.

Until now – with Liam, 51, offering Noel, 56, a shoulder to cry on should he need it, which instantly sent fans into a frenzy on social media. The group will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe next year, with many fans believing both Liam and Noel will put their differences aside for the landmark occasion.

"I hope it works out," wrote one excited fan. A second penned: "Ave it! You need to get back together as you have a promise to fulfil." Meanwhile, another commented: "LG nice words!! Why don't you drive down to NG and be there for him? Have a beer, fix the beef and blow us all out of the water with a secret new album!"

Some believe a performance at Knebworth could be on the cards, with over a quarter of a million people flocking to see the mega-group. Oasis previously performed at Knebworth in 1996, with an eye-watering 500,000 people heading to the idyllic village to see their favourite band live.

Earlier this year, Noel teased he would be ready to reunite with Liam and their bandmates again, 14 years after they called it a day. During a Q&A at The Rose Theatre in Kingston, when asked by an audience member during a recent chat about who should be included in an Oasis reunion line-up, Noel replied: "So me… Liam… Well, it's a funny thing because we're all at a certain age now.

"Hair was a thing in Oasis, so we'll have to see what everybody's hair is looking like. I'm in no matter what. This is not f***ing going anywhere. I don't know. Look. Me, Liam and a load of f***ing fit birds." It comes after Noel recently insisted it was up to his brother to make peace in order for the band to get back together.

Noel labelled Liam a "coward" on Twitter and complained his brother would never actually make the call to reunite Oasis as he said he was 'all mouth'. "Well, I put it out there. [Liam] won't call … I mean, he should call me, because he's like, he's forever going on about it. You'd have thought by now, he'd have some kind of plan. He doesn't have to speak to me. He won't speak to me, he's a coward. So he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say: 'Look, this is what we're thinking,' and then we'll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s being a little bit disingenuous," he told talkSPORT.
