Victoria Beckham 'in talks for own documentary' after David's Netflix success

Victoria Beckham is said to be in talks for her very own documentary off the back of her husband David's success.

The footballer's four part Netflix series has been a smash hit on the streaming site and it appears Victoria now wants to follow suit. Despite appearing in the Beckham documentary that details her husband's life, Victoria's own journey to fame could soon appear on screens. It has been reported the show would explore Victoria's journey from the Spice Girls to becoming a tycoon in the fashion industry - all while raising four children.

Discussions have reportedly been going on since the summer and TV execs are keen to progress the idea. Victoria has been a hit with viewers in the Beckham series for her candid humour and honesty. It has been claimed her documentary would explore how she "built a fashion and beauty empire from scratch" as well as she overcame "naysayers post-Spice Girls".

A source told The Sun: “At times her journey wasn’t easy, and there will be a blood, sweat and tears look behind the scenes at the sheer graft she has put into reinventing herself. Off the back of David’s success, and how well she came across, people will also see, in depth, her wit and sarcasm. Of course there will be some personal life elements and David, and her celebrity pals, will feature in the background."

They added that it is "early days" but those involved are "very excited" about the production. Victoria and her husband David gave fans a closer look at their life in the public eye during his Netflix documentary. The couple seemingly addressed the rumours of an alleged affair between David and his personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

Speaking in the Netflix series Beckham, the couple open up about how the affair allegations impacted their relationship - with Victoria admitting "we were against each other".In one episode of the four-part series, Beckham director Fisher Stevens asked David: "Multiple tabloid stories broke, and how did you deal with that?" The dad-of-four replies: "There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage."

"100 percent. It was the hardest period for us," Victoria recalled. "Because it felt like the world was against us. And here's the thing; we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together. We were connected. We had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel that we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me."

In 2004, football legend David was hit with claims he had an affair with Rebecca, 46, who alleged she had a relationship with him while he was playing for Real Madrid. The former Manchester United ace, who was hit with allegations of affairs with other women, described the claims as "ludicrous" at the time.

Rebecca has since hit out at the Beckham's response to the affair allegations in their documentary. "It's all, 'poor me'. He needs to take responsibility," she told The Mail on Sunday. "He can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he's making me look like a liar, like I've made up these stories." She added: "He is indirectly suggesting that I'm the one who has made Victoria suffer."
