Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly leaves viewers amazed with 'beautiful' look
Strictly Come Dancing was back for week five of the live shows - and Tess Daly was dressed to the nines to preside over the contest.
The 54-year-old presenter took to the ballroom floor ready to rub shoulders with the celebrities - and possibly even offer them one of her shoulders to cry on in the event of the judges slamming their dance skills. And Tess looked as glamorous as ever as she prepared to discuss all the dance room action as she returned to the long-running BBC dance competition for another weekend of Sambas and sequins.
She stepped out wearing a shimmering silver dress on Saturday night - with an eye-catching slit running up the side of the skirt. Tess took to Instagram ahead of her appearance on the show to give fans a sneak peek of her outfit.
She shared three images of herself wearing the dress - which was off the shoulder and showed off her toned, and tanned shoulders. While her blonde hair was sleekly groomed and was brushed down around her shoulders.
Fans were impressed by her ensemble and flooded social media with comments about her fashion choice. One thrilled follower declared Tess looked "Fab", while another commented: "You Look lovely."
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourA second penned: "So beautiful", as another typed: "Looking fabulous as always, your style Tess, you're a style icon."
Another suggested Tess's style was typically spectacular, writing: "Stunning as always." While the TV star's stylist, James Yardley, responded to Tess's post himself with a string of aquamarine coloured hearts.
Earlier this year Tess discussed her excitement about coming back to Strictly for the 21st season. She is the original host of the show and has presided over all seasons of the contest since it launched back in 2004. She said: “The biggest joy for me is that this is a live TV show. It’s such an adrenaline rush.
“I love that it’s completely authentic and anything could happen at any given moment. I absolutely love watching the audience's faces as they react to the routines in the studio. And it’s talking about it with everybody I meet and being a part of something that feels authentic and special. The biggest challenge is probably running up the stairs and across the studio at speed in stilettos!"
Fans tuning in to Strictly this week will notice that one of the remaining 12 couples was missing as Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice were forced to miss out on the week five trials. A statement from Strictly explained: "Due to medical reasons Amanda Abbington will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week."
Amanda and Giovanni have been granted a bye until week six, allowing them to return to the competition to continue to fight to stay in the contest.
