Strictly's Motsi and Oti Mabuse's third sister - who stays out the limelight

Strictly Come Dancing sisters Motsi and Oti Mabuse are huge stars thanks to their respective roles on the BBC dance show, but fans may not know the siblings have a third sister.

Known for their incredible dancing skills, both Motsi, 42, and Oti, 33, have wowed viewers over the years but it seems that their middle sister, Phemelo, 35, is the best dancer of them all - but prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

The revelation came after Oti after appeared on a recent TV show. She explained: "To be honest, we have another sister, middle sister, she was the better dancer," the big sis gushed. "She's a mechanical engineer. She designs windmills which create electricity through wind in South Africa."

However, it seems that dancing is clearly in the Mabuse blood as despite choosing to follow a different career path to her celebrity sisters, Phemelo has competed at the World Dance Championships.

Two times Strictly champion Oti revealed on the Jonathan Ross Show, that her older sister won the South African title in Latin American & Ballroom as a juvenile, junior and youth. Phemelo then went on to compete at the World Championship four times and has also taught dance in Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Adding to her extensive CV, Phemelo also appeared on the South Africa version of Strictly back in 2006. While UK viewers have actually seen Phemelo on their screens before. Back in 2019 she appeared on Gogglebox alongside her two sisters but since then, she has taken herself out of media attention.

The Mabuse clan is set to give even bigger next year as Oti announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Marius Lepure.

Oti shared the news on her new BBC chat show last month, where she appeared alongside her husband for a surprise final segment. She told the audience: "Speaking of things that you didn't know at home, we have a little something for all of you, we've been holding some good news. We're having a baby!"

After confirming the news live on air, Oti then took to social media to post a number of pictures of herself cradling her growing bump, as she posed beside her husband.

Although as she hasn't confirmed her due date, she hinted that she may be expecting her bundle of joy at the end of the year, as she said: "Christmas is about to get even louder'.

She wrote: "Our 'yes' year is getting better and better and so is our little family. We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs or even swinging from bridges but the best news we could have ever ask for. "

She added: "We love our little bundle of joy so much already… and can't wait to see what our future will now look like as family of 3 plus Leo, it's been a beautiful journey so far with close friends and family and nearly over but we have learnt a lot a long the way…. Christmas is about to get even louder."
