Big Brother's Tiffany Pollard claims 'mad' David Gest haunts her after CBB error

Big Brother star Tiffany Pollard, who gave us one of the most memorable moments the show has ever had, has asked David Gest to stop haunting her kitchen.

Tiffany, 41, took part in the 2016 series of Celebrity Big Brother, alongside the late David Gest and Angie Bowie. On learning the news that her ex-husband David Bowie had passed away while she was in the Big Brother house, Angie informed housemates that "David is dead".

But Tiffany got the wrong end of the stick, thinking she was referring to Gest, who was taking a nap in the bedroom at the time. The housemates were then entangled in a classic case of miscommunication until they finally came to the right David.

Speaking in a new interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tiffany revealed she never got a chance to make things right with David and she now believes he is haunting her. Tiffany said: "David and I have not made up. And I did not rewatch that episode but he does haunt my kitchen. Every once in a while…"

Host Andy Cohen then replied: "You have not made up from that season?" to which Tiffany replied: "Well since he died… I haven’t talked to him since then. Was I supposed to?"

After appearing on Big Brother in January 2016, David Gest sadly died the following April in a hotel in London after suffering from a stroke. The producer had arranged a new tour called David Gest Is Not Dead but Alive With Soul, a reference to the misunderstanding - the tour went ahead without him.

Tiffany addressed the late producer and TV personality when speaking to Andy, saying: "David, please stop coming into the kitchen and messing with the knives and forks. He's mad at me." She added she wanted to make up with him, "so he can stop turning on the coffee maker."

The "David is dead" scene was uploaded to the official Big Brother YouTube channel, where it has currently had more than 4.3m views, with new comments added all the time. One viewer wrote of the mix-up "The fact that so many things had to align for this to happen, and it did, it's HYSTERICAL!" Another summed up why fans of the show still watch the clip: "The best part of this is that it's the perfect storm of misunderstandings. Same first name, Angie didn't elaborate, Gest had been sick all day, was under the covers in bed away from all the chaos. Can't script that stuff. "

Tiffany went on to cash in on the now-iconic moment, selling "David is dead" t-shirts on her website, before her management pulled them following Gest's tragic death just months after he left the CBB house due to "medical reasons."
