James Haskell shares date rule with pal Mike Tindall amid missing ring saga

James Haskell has revealed he never double dates with friends Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips, after both he and wife Chloe Madeley were snapped without their wedding rings.

The rugby union player turned DJ caused drama with Chloe, 36, when he was photographed speaking into a mystery blonde's ear. Chloe was said to be "upset", and had already given him a piece of her mind when he posted photos of scantily-clad women on his Instagram, just months after she gave birth to their daughter Bodhi last October.

Chloe went on to be pictured without her wedding ring on a night out, while speculation continued when James was also pictured without his while pushing Bodhi in her pram. With his left hand in full view and his wedding ring is nowhere in sight, James appeared to be downcast in the images.

In a new interview with OK!, James admitted despite Chloe being close with his friend Mike Tindall's wife Zara, the four would never go on a double date together. "Me and Mike are very close, and Zara and Chloe are too," James told the magazine. But when asked about dating together, he laughed: "No, we've never been on a double date. We hang out lots together, but we've never double-dated."

He also revealed in the interview that he gave former England rugby pal Mike, who is married to Olympian and Royal Family member Zara Tindall, a bit of advice before he entered I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! back in 2022. After James took part in the show in 2019, he imparted his wisdom to his pal, saying: "I did give Mike some advice. Perhaps some very honest things that others wouldn't tell him." But he admitted that while Mike found it helpful, he didn't need it, saying he was "unbelievable" in the jungle.

James' marriage was put under the spotlight earlier this month thanks to being spotted speaking to the mysterious bonded outside celeb haunt Chiltern Firehouse last weekend. It turned out to be PR agency owner Martine Bridge, who is said to have known James for years. But Chloe went on to be seen without her wedding ring while on a girls' night out.

A source told The Sun : "Chloe wanted a night out to let her hair down with her mates. She really showed James what he was missing in her revealing outfit." Another friend added that Chloe wasn't happy with the photos, saying: "She was slightly annoyed and upset over the pictures of James and the other woman."

Meanwhile, James' rep told the Mirror: "The woman pictured is a friend of James's group who he just met that night. They were simply having a conversation outside so there is nothing to this story."

Since then, James was spotted pushing the baby's pram around London on Wednesday (18 October), clearly without his ring on his left hand.
