The Chase's Paul Sinha steps in to comfort Mark Labbett after 'breakdown'
The Chase star Paul Sinha comforted his co-star Mark Labbett after The Beast admitted he had a "breakdown" while filming a recent episode of the ITV show.
Mark revealed on Twitter that he'd had a "breakdown" before playing against a "star" team during a recent episode of the popular quiz show. "I had a breakdown prior to the final chase, was utterly demoralised by yet another star team :(," Mark wrote on the platform renamed X by owner Elon Musk.
Paul quickly offered support to his fellow Chaser, telling Mark: "It's easily lost we're not robots, we're human beings trying our best. Whatever you see on screen is a snapshot of us at an unspecified moment sometime in the last 18 months." He added: "We could have been under stress for any number of reasons, much of [which] may be long forgotten."
One viewer added to the conversation: "It always amazes me how you get the top teams and other chasers get the ones that fall apart straight away, I think there is something going on, they know who the contestants are and how good they are, anyway you are the greatest and the editing is not acceptable."
Another delcared: "It's the most frustrated I have seen you! On the bright side my wife and I were laughing at how grumpy you looked but in a nice way if that's possible. All part of the twists and turns that great show provides." A third remarked: "Out of curiosity, how long ago was it filmed ?? You could tell halfway through with the tone in your voice you knew that you had been beaten."
ITV officially axes popular Bradley Walsh series after huge ratings slump"Anyone can have a bad day," another penned on Twitter as they showed some support for Mark . "Sorry to hear that, though was clear you weren't yourself. Hope you're back to your brilliant bullying best soon. You'll always be the chaser we fear the most (well, maybe second to @anne_hegerty lol)," wrote another fan.
"We're human at the end of the day, and you absolutely did your best. It was one of the best shows for a long time, and you were part of our enjoyment in watching it. You'll always be one of the best and never forget it," another said.
